I like this one, “going to Kansas City, they got some crazy little women there, and I’m going to.. get me one,” from 1959:

And I knew that I liked a certain song from 1958, but I couldn’t even remember the song name or band or lyrics. So I found the top 100 hits of 1958, and thought I’d recognize it if I saw it, and sure enough. Lets Stroll:

A “stroll” down memory lane.
I wish I could post my favorite ditties from David Allen Cole but Tony would likely ban me. So instead I’ll just put up this ditty from my favorite biker band released in 1972. Bare with the band, the introduction like this post is a little long

I wonder if kids listen to “our” music. If not, they are really missing out big time!
Did we listen to our parents music?
After having retired from coaching track and field three times I somehow got roped into it again.
(45 yrs-most as a head coach) — so I am with often.
This may be surprising but many actually prefer music of the late 50’s, 60,s and 70’s
I have a little music in my background, so on off times we actually ‘jam’ a little. Maybe on the bus-the one that I am on.
Off course they love it when an old man does things like that with them—
and I am nostalgic
