By “climate change”, they mean “global warming”. If they meant “global cooling”, it might not be so unclear.
But we can do a little “laboratory” experiment to prove that hot causes cold: take a pot of leftover stew from the fridge and put it on a gas burner. Of course you’ll notice that overall the pot gets warmer as it’s exposed to the flame for a while. But but but… if you were to dig down and poke around in the “globally warming stew,” you’d notice pockets of deep cold in the stew, even bits of ice forming because of the reaction to the flame.
In in the end, when you finally eat the stew, those cold pockets will have disappeared, and the stew will in fact be boiling hot throughout. So that’s what we will ultimately be in for. This brutal cold we are experiencing now is a precursor to the unbearably hot temperatures that will soon spread across the globe.
So we need a Marshall style plan to cut US and European CO2 emissions by over 80%! Or we may very well freeze to death before the heat takes over and the oceans come and swamp our lands. And be warned that Washington DC will be among the first to go under water.
