The decision has already been made in Washington to make 2015 the hottest year ever, so the impact of the volcano should be minimal.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

They are prepared-they are holding the last virgin in DC to toss in…
The force of destruction is the force of creation that Obama, Putin and armies of Nobel-Prize winning propaganda artists disguised as scientists cannot control.
I’m sure the models predicted it!

Huge earthquake in Nepal. Mount Everest many hundreds dead. Chile eruption of Volcano, mini quakes here Any questions about climate change?
https://twitter.com/spotsassy/status/591966491320446978
It’s all your fault, everything, including Baltimore. Pay up.
I’m pretty sure that CO2 caused the fires in Boston. I mean, everywhere they had fires, the CO2 was just crowded around the building.
Besides, CO2 is heavier than air. I bet that the weight of all that CO2 in Nepal caused the avalanche on Mt. Everest — probably on Chomolungma too!
🙂
Not to mention Sagarmatha. The magic gas can triple mountains too, it seems.
Ha! I admit, I had to google Sagarmatha. Cool! I’ve learned a new name today!
Jason you mean this?
(Do I need the humor tag?)
Is this guy seriously linking the Nepal earthquake to climate change?
I have been waiting for someone to do so.
If we have a real ‘hot summer’, yes, they could blame ‘warming’ except we had riots in Ferguson when it wasn’t anywhere near hot.
The 1977 riots happened on the only really hot week that summer, generally it was a cold, cold snowy year.
It’s cool in Baltimore! Everyone was wearing jackets, and the high today will only be 68F.
UAH v.6.0 details released today. Falls closer in line with RSS now.

The recent episodes in volcanos and the Nepal quake may affect climate for millions of years, either cooling or warming. But the AGW cultists will still be blaming the Koch Bros. in 2,464,875 AD … http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/cause-ice-age.html
Water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, and other trace gases in the Earth’s atmosphere absorb this long wave radiation. Because the Earth does not allow this long wave radiation to leave, the solar energy is trapped and the net effect is to warm the Earth.
WTF? A scientist actually put his name on this childish prose? I would have been laughed out of the classrom for this crap.
Kirk Allen Maasch is Professor in the School of Earth and Climate Sciences and the Climate Change Institute at the University of Maine. He has over 20 years of experience using climate models and statistical methods to investigate the causes of climate change across time scales ranging from years to millions of years. The models range in complexity from simple low-order dynamical systems to complex three-dimensional models of the atmosphere. He has worked toward developing a theory for long-time scale climate change (ice ages and millennial scales). His most recent interests include inter-annual to decadal scale climate variability in the Holocene and the relationship between climate change and human activities, as well as model projections of climate change over the next century.
Twenty plus years playing “Doom”.
He uses computers to totally mispredict the weather. 100% misses. Amazing score.
100% right about 2015 being set up as the ‘warmest ever’. It’s almost as if it’s been pre-ordained.
I guess that means the Pope decreed it.
Has anyone tried to calculate the amount of CO2 emitted since the pause began vs the amount before? How long till they reach parity? Going to burn a tire to celebrate.
14 of my 15 tallest years have been in this century.
(I used the NASA adjustment routine which found I was actually shorter in my 20s)
Also in 2004 I didn’t wear shoes for the measurement, but statistical analysis showed this had little result on the trend so I didn’t worry about that.
Perhaps not wearing shoes was due to a TOB which you must account for.
We’ll assume that wearing shoes adds inches to your height, that you wore shoes 40% of the time in 2004, and that you’ve steadily progressed to wearing shoes 100% of the time today.
In 2004, wearing shoes 40% of the time artificially increased your height by 2″x40%, or 0.8″. Today, wearing shoes 100% of the time leads to an artificial increase of 2″. The trend line works out to an average artificial gain of 1.2″ over 11 years, or 0.109″ per year.
In 2005, your shoes would have been on for 45.45% of the time, giving you an artificial gain of 0.909″. If your measured height has been the same since 2005, this proves your hypothesis was incorrect. You weren’t, in fact, shorter in your 20’s. You were taller. After adjusting for the artificially added height of your shoes, you’ve actually been shrinking by 0.109″ per year.
See how easy this math stuff is?
Yes but now that you’ve decided to become a woman like Bruce Jenner, you wear heels which make you even taller, if you keep this up, you can play basketball when you are 80.
I can look at the satellite temperature record and see El Ninos and La Ninas but I can’t make out the AGW signal due to CO2. Where is it? It should overwhelm all the other signals.
You must be suffering from a peculiar type of blindness due to not getting your income from government research grants. All the people who do get their income from such grants can see the AGW signal due to CO2 just fine.
This is because space aliens are making the signals and humans can’t see the code. Ask Mann for it. 🙂
Ice extent in the Antarctic has already greater than in the previous year.

Study blames global warming for 75 percent of very hot days
https://news.yahoo.com/study-blames-global-warming-75-percent-very-hot-150244103.html
“Lead author Erich Fischer, a climate scientist at ETH Zurich, a Swiss university, and colleague Reto Knutti examined just the hottest of hot days, the hottest one-tenth of one percent.”

OH, NO!
Gator’s beating the dead horse again…..
No, I just promote him. 😉
Thanks. Sorry for redundant link.
This study is questionable when number of days over 90 degrees (midwest) has declined in the last century.

Do you know the source of this chart? It would be interesting to see other locations.
I see that Rio De Janeiro, where the children are playing in the water in this article’s example of extreme heat, is not particularly hot. The average high is only 86 in February, the warmest month.
http://www.intellicast.com/Local/History.aspx?location=BRXX0201 There’s a reason they wear thongs down there, but I’m not sure it has to do with the extreme temperatures.
Look at the top of the graph.

Don’t know the source for that chart, I’m assuming our most gracious host does.
As for Rio De Janeiro, the thongs are certainly one of the drivers of that hot climate.

We need a new thong index to correlate thong sales and hot wax treatments with global warming! The bikini sales have skyrocketed since the 1950s in line with increased temperatures, a sure indicator.
I’d like to, uh, work on a model or three.
OrganicFool suggests a “new thong index” that is tied in with global warming. Gives me a great idea! Perhaps I should apply for a government science grant to study this correlation between the thong and bikini sales/usage and CO2 and AGW. This is research that will likely get some excited at the prospects and raw data sets. Unfortunately for me, I have scruples and would consider it taking money under false pretenses, but hey, a guy can dream can’t he?
I found the first correlation: Brigitte Bardot in 1957 movie “And God Created Woman” and 1957 Arctic heat wave. Yes, we need more funding (and models).

Crowd sourcing is our best bet, might I suggest something like http://www.gofu**me.com?

Any doubts that these ‘Scientists’ are anything but paid Propagandists, AND VERY POOR propagandists, is removed by that statement.
If solar energy was trapped and never left earth, over billions of years of accumulation the earth would have been vaporized.
Where did this idiot get his degree from? Crow University?

Stalin won WWII and then united nations (UN) and national academies of sciences (NAS) on 24 Oct 1945 to rule and enslave the public with false information disguised as 97% consensus science.
We were denied the promise in the last paragraph of Aston’s Nobel Lecture of 12 Dec 1922 because CHAOS and FEAR of nuclear annihilation during a news blackout in Aug-Sept 1945 [1] convinced world leaders to unite nations (UN) and national academies of science (NAS) on 24 Oct 1945 to forbid public knowledge of Neutron Repulsion – the source of energy that
_ a.) Destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and
_ b.) Created and sustains every atom and life [2], and
_ c.) The climate of every planet [3] in the solar system.
