As long as the temperature in the arctic and antarctic below freezing point are described as “hot” they will have a hard time describing temperatures above the freezing point.
Why won’t they tell us how many more kTons of ice and snow are melting at the current -17 C versus the average -27 C?
Are they seeing a lot of water pools?
I’m a bit miffed by the graph. The two lines are labeled: blue is reanalysis, i.e. bogus.
and the orange is “operational model”, i.e. bogus. So what are the measured temperatures in both cases? And let me decide what to think about those.
While you are a bit miffed by the graph I am totally miffed by the graphics.
Usually their used to be, even in the worst propaganda pictures , at least a bit of scientific pretending.
But in this case they went full extreme BS .
There is no more nuanced orange and yellow.
Only 2 extremes – red and blue.
And this is impossible to happen.
Another problem is that such extreme should cause some violent storms, which do not happen.
My guess is that yellow and orange have been cancelled as those colors do not have the psychological impact red has.
