Team Goebbels In The Arctic

The NW Passage Rowing team has been generating publicity all over the world, claiming that they can row through the Arctic because global warming has melted the ice.

Now we find out that what they are actually doing. They are hoping to find some narrow leads near shore, to get the boat through without letting the press know that there is actually tons of ice.

The left has always been about getting more power via more suckers, always a new believers needed since previous suckers no longer pay any attention. It’s never about telling the truth. Always about power.
Climate is only the latest globalist power freak’s tool. Others are population growth, terrorism, and of course bogeymen of the past like communists and anarchists.
New mask on the same wolf.

What a sad, sad state of affairs.

If they took time to read they would know that you can’t cheat the truth and you will be defeated if you try: “Truth is victorious, never untruth.” om

What you are saying, is Steve. That they are lying out of their north west passage.

  4. “Now we find out that what they are actually doing. They are hoping to find some narrow leads near shore, to get the boat through”
Are you going to share your source for that shocking revelation or is this personal opinion?
It has been shown downstairs that the ice they are facing when they exit the McKenzie River late net week is thin, badly fractured first year ice. Nothing you posted so far today has been able to show otherwise.

    • Looks like we have a major slimeball here

      • Just because we are not in agreement regarding the ice conditions the rowers will be facing when they exit the McKenzie river late net week, is it really necessary to call me names?

        • Robert Austin says:

Yeah, I kind of agree that there is nothing to be gained by calling Reggie names. This “expedition” will either succeed or fail in the near future and we will will be well aware where the hubris lies. Reggie shows extreme faith in the deus ex machina “blow torch” and Steven relies on the satellite photos. I am content to just wait and see. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t watch closely to ensure that the passage is executed strictly by rowing.

REGGIE-POOH, REGGIE-POOH, REGGIE-POOH – if YOU do not like being called `names`, the YOU SHOULD CALL OTHER PEOPLE NAMES. YOU SLEAZY HYPOCRITE!!

  5. The insanely hot weather on the shores of the eastern Beaufort sea has continued for yet another day, The temperature today at Kugluktuk, NU reached 89 degrees, an astounding 32 degrees above normal for this time of years. The winds were blowing offshore at 14 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph across the already fragile ice.
Tomorrow the ice gets a short reprieve, with temperatures back down into the lower fifties. Unfortunately it is going to be raining, so there will be a substantial surface melt on the remaining thin badly fractured first year ice, as well as additional ponding. Then sunny skies early in the week and a high of 77 by Tuesday.
This is good news for the rowers,

    • do you really think that spamming this bullshit is going to melt the ice?

      • What bullsh*t?
I have been posting well documented facts and you are unable to show otherwise.
Steve, you have an issue with being questioned when what you post is in conflict with reality.
It is unusually hot on the south east coast of the Beaufort Sea, that is not bullsh*t, it’s a fact. Calm down, in a weeks time we will see exactly what ice conditions the rowers face.
I have been very polite to you and have endured a lot of the name.

My advice to you is to take out your anger on the clown who posted that nasty reply about you on Mainstrean First Last’s Facebook page. Then maybe ignore the rowers for a few days and then if the ice conditions are bad, you can have fun with their misery.

      • You are completely full of crap Reggie.

NOAA shows all of the Beaufort Sea normal or below normal temperatures today. You probably didn’t even bother to follow the link

    • kirkmyers says:

Ice melting and breaking up during the summer in the arctic? Shocking, just shocking! Human CO2 emissions must be the culprit. Not the sun, not ocean currents, not the wind, not the storms. If it weren’t for dreaded CO2 (earth’s essential plant nutrient), arctic ice would be forever stable.

The crackpots who continue to peddle the AGW theory are not only tiresome; they also are bordering on comical. They simply cannot bring themselves to abandon their discredited theory. Their inflated egos are too sensitive for such admissions.

    • Chewer says:

Have you seen the picture of what they did to the thermometer at Kugluktuk?
      Next door surface temperature:
Weather report as of 26 minutes ago (22:00 UTC):
The wind was blowing at a speed of 8.7 meters per second (19.6 miles per hour) from Southeast in Cambridge Bay, Canada. The temperature was 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit). Air pressure was 1,013 hPa (29.91 inHg). Relative humidity was 58.2%. There were a few clouds at a height of 1219 meters (4000 feet), scattered clouds at a height of 2134 meters (7000 feet) and broken clouds at a height of 4267 meters (14000 feet). The visibility was 24.1 kilometers (15.0 miles). Current weather is

      • Chewer, this doesn’t show what you believe it does, do you know realize Cambridge Bay is on Banks Island?
That it reached 55 degrees with the winds blowing across that cold ice is very impressive,
What you are seeing is that the hot air blowing offshore from the mainland, cooled as it blew across the ice, A lot of that heat went into melting the remain ice. The normal temp is 51 degrees.

    • Traitor In Chief says:

Seriously, how far is someone going to Row before needing to clamber over an ice Floe? How do you “Row” in even 30% ice? These aren’t little ice cubes. There could be open water alright….filled with Ice chunks the size of freight cars. But it’s “fragile”? You mean like a little baby in a diaper? First year ice floes could still be 1-2 ft thick, maybe more.

      • Your estimate for ice thickness of 2 week sound about right when they get there next weekend. You are also right about large chunks, in fact you are estimating too small when you say boxcar, think football fields in size for larger pieces.
Here is how they are going to get trough the early portion of their trip, they are going to go through the gaps which could be hundreds of feet wide, depending on this week’s melt and net weekends winds.

    • Robert Austin says:

Interestingly, I just checked Environment Canada and Kugluktak shows 89F but to the west Inuvik shows 57F and to the east Cambridge Bay shows 56F. Kugluktak must be the local Garden of Eden.

    • Chewer says:

I used to think that your ailment was a bit disturbing, but now I find your religion to be quite disgusting and you and your fellow travelers are setting up your idol rowing team for disaster.
Do you really see 89 degrees F.?

There was a group who harnessed themselves up like dogs and ran with the canoe dragging behind them like a sled and claimed to have reached the North Pole by canoe. I can’t find the link, it was in the last few years. Please someone follow up with a link or it will bother me,

They also canoed in the cracks between ice flows which takes either balls of steel or brains of straw. When the ice flow happens to close that crack, everyone in the path gets turned into strawberry jam. I have not tried that, but then again I don’t ride a motorbike hands free without a helmet and standing on the seat either, I don’t jiggle chainsaws, nor do I mix my own Acetone peroxide for that matter.

There was also Lewis Pugh who tried to kayak to the North Pole but gave up because global warming sent too much ice to get in his way (I’m not making this up). He started out 1200 km from the pole and the Reuters headline was “Explorer kayaks to 1,000 km from N.Pole” which means he got 20% done. Look, in terms of physical stamina, I couldn’t do that much, I’m finding it a big job just digging through 1m of clay to fix some broken sewer pipes in the back yard. But being a he-man doesn’t imply any intellectual capability or analytic ability.

  7. gator69 says:

If they really want to impress someone, let’s see them row to the South Pole.

  8. I think the Goebbels title ears you a Godwin’s Law badge!

  9. gator69 says:

“What is ignored is that Godwinโ€™s law does not make any judgement about the appropriateness of a Hitler/Nazi analogy, just that its occurrence increases as a conversation prolongs.”

    http://theantinietzsche.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/death-of-words-godwins-law/

Amazing how leftists are taken in by propaganda, Godwin was only pointing out that sometimes people take the NAZI analogy lightly. In this case it is appropriate, alarmists are perpetuating a big lie for population control, denying futures to millions.

    Not funny, is it?

    • Rowing for climate change awareness = big lie for population control?

      ??

      Show your workings.

      • miked1947 says:

Climate awareness is the Big LIE! It is not about being aware of Climate but being aware of what has been orchestrated as Catastrophic Anthropogenic Climate Change. It is all make believe so people like you have something to take their minds off what is really happening.
If you were aware of Climate you would know the recent climate, within the last couple hundred years is very similar to climate experienced during times that came before. Variable long term weather patterns are the norm rather than the exception.

      • gator69 says:

David, I’m not sure if you are trying to act ignorant, or if you really are. But if you are so obtuse as to not understand my statement, then a conversation with you would be pointless.
