When Bush was president, he got the blame for everything, including Hurricane Katrina. Now that Obama is president, he never gets the blame for anything, including doubling the national debt and legislation named after him which was passed without a single Republican vote.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Fear. No one openly criticized Hitler in Nazi Germany. Albert Einstein knew what was going to happen. It’s as clear as daylight what will happen in the near future if We The People can’t stop it know and not only in the US. Remember the tree of liberty .
Unlike Einstein, we have nowhere to go. It’s the late 1920’s all over again, but this time we are without a promised land.
And no place to hide.

This is definitely Bush’s fault: http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/up-gold-hunt-no-more-gold-shobhan-sarkar-archaeological-survey-of-india/1/320742.html
Survey says Republicans are alienating 7% of the population who are libertarians, mostly under 50, despite a slight rebranding via the Tea Party:
“Ninety-six percent of libertarians oppose President Barack Obama’s landmark healthcare restructuring compared to 89 percent of Republicans.
But nearly 60 percent of libertarians oppose making it more difficult for a woman to get an abortion, while 58 percent of Republicans and those affiliated with the Tea Party favor such restrictions, according to the survey.
More than 70 percent of libertarians favored legalizing marijuana, while about 60 percent of Republicans and Tea Party members opposed such a move, the survey found.”

So libertarians stand for killing the unborn and smoking dope. Makes me want to join.
This is why Libertarians are not embraced, our message gets distorted and raped. Libertarians have many different moral perspectives, what we agree upon is that no man should be able to tell another how to live his own life, as long as it does not directly interfere with the liberties of another.
I personally find abortion as abhorrent as slavery, but until the public accepts that the unborn also have rights to liberty, I will work to make sure my voice is heard and my tax dollars are not used to support it.
I would never want any member of my family involved in prostitution, but I believe a woman (or man) has the right to sell their ‘talents’. We allow athletes to sell their bodies to the highest bidder.
Alcohol is a drug. Alcohol is legal. Alcohol is deadly (unlike marijuana) and not just to its users. Those who seek to support prohibition of truly personal choices are no better than the Taliban. Prohibition kills far more people, and is responsible for far more crime than pot smokers.
Libertarians are for maximum liberty, in all forms, for all people. Who will speak for you when your personal choice or belief is outlawed? One only need study the results of prohibition to find the correct answer to our drug policies.
Gator. Interesting that you compare abortion and slavery. I have long done so in another way.
My rights are quite different than that of a pregnant women. If I cause, by whatever means, her to abort against her will, I can be charged with a serious crime. At the same time she can legally do the same. She is given that right because the unborn child is considered to be hers, her property, to keep or dispose of as she wishes. Slaves were considered to be property to keep, sell, or dispose of as one wishes.
My most fundamental belief is that no human or potential human should be owned by another.
This is partly why the comparison is valid. Slave owners were permitted to ‘execute’ their slaves, yet if another man wantonly killed his slave it was a crime. Slaves were not considered to be fully human, just like the unborn.
Abortion will continue to be a difficult issue, but when the child is killing the mother and the mother has more rational worth than the foetus and, if it can’t be carried to term or will not survive outside the womb without brain damage or severe complications, what alternative is there?
Situations like this can’t be lumped into one single term, such as “abortion”. It should be seen as a “miscarriage”, which somehow isn’t a dirty word.
Hey Olaf! We are discussing healthy babies that are able to be brought to term and/or live outside the mother. Incarceration would also be a ‘dirty’ word if we regularly locked up the vast majority of the innocent.
“A report to Parliament has revealed abortions performed in the United Kingdom to save the life of the mother are a stunningly low 0.006 percent of procedures. David Alton, who for 18 years was a member of the House of Commons, wrote, “When the case for allowing legal abortion was first placed before Parliament it was argued that the law needed to be changed to deal with extremely serious situations. “More than six million abortions later the figures reveal that in 99.5 percent of the cases where an unborn child’s life is ended there is no risk to the health of the mother,”
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/geneveith/2012/08/how-many-abortions-are-for-the-health-of-the-mother/#sthash.ROOwBX7N.dpuf
So in other words, if we were discussing incarceration, 99.5 percent of inmates would be innocent. There are reasons to deny freedoms, and even life, but they should be reserved for the extremes and used only to protect the innocent.
Pot is not deadly? Could you be so blind? Let me guess, pot is your drug of choice so indeed you are blind to it’s problems.
I do not smoke pot, or take any recreational drugs. I do enjoy a good beer. Please list all the pot overdoses.
I think the obvious answer is that Bush Jr was *just that bad*
