During 1936, 117F temperatures were common from Texas to North Dakota. South Dakota was over 120F. North Dakota was over 119F. Nebraska was 118F. Iowa was 117F. Missouri was 118F. Oklahoma was 120F. Texas was 119F. Arkansas was 117F.
People who blame the current heat in Arizona on CO2 are crooks, idiots, liars and frauds.
If we look outside of the notorious Phoenix Urban Heat Island, we can see that the frequency of days over 118F is down 80% since the 1890s, when CO2 was below 300 PPM. There is no recent trend towards increasing frequency of 118 degree days.
The frequency of 110+ degree days has plummeted since 1960.
As is normally the case in climate science, no actual research or data is being used. It is just a bunch of criminals making up lies to steal from the public coffers. The scamsters are very worried that their reign of junk science terror is coming to an end.
The US experienced a severe heatwave and drought during the summer of 1988, the Mississippi River nearly dried up, one third of Yellowstone Park burned up, and it was the perfect time for James Hansen to start the global warming scam. He told Congress that he was 99% certain the heatwave was due to CO2, and that heatwaves would get much worse starting in the 1990’s.
Iowa was hot, so it wasn’t hard to get the useful idiots at the Des Moines Register on board with a front page headline declaring 1988 to be the hottest year ever, less than half way through the year.
The days ahead of his testimony were record hot in the US. Late June temperatures had been plummeting in the US for 60 years, but the heat of 1988 provided the perfect opportunity for James Hansen to perjure himself before Congress and get his scam going.
Almost the entire country was over 90 degrees, and Iowa was over 100 degrees – which made the Des Moines Register easy pickings for a scam.
It was the hottest June on record in the DC area, with 21 days over 95 degrees. Since then, the frequency of 95 degree days has dropped by about 90%.
In order to really make sure they got the global warming scam going, Hansen and his fellow climate scamster Senator Tim Wirth of Colorado sabotaged the air conditioning at Congress the night before the June 23 hearing.
we called the Weather Bureau and found out what historically was the hottest day of the summer. Well, it was June 6 or June 9 or whatever it was, so we scheduled the hearing that day, and bingo: It was the hottest day on record in Washington, or close to it. It was stiflingly hot that summer. [At] the same time you had this drought all across the country, so the linkage between the Hansen hearing and the drought became very intense.
… What we did it was went in the night before and opened all the windows, I will admit, right? So that the air conditioning wasn’t working inside the room and so when the, when the hearing occurred there was not only bliss, which is television cameras in double figures, but it was really hot. … So Hansen’s giving this testimony, you’ve got these television cameras back there heating up the room, and the air conditioning in the room didn’t appear to work. So it was sort of a perfect collection of events that happened that day, with the wonderful Jim Hansen, who was wiping his brow at the witness table and giving this remarkable testimony.
By December of 1988, global temperatures had plummeted due to La Nina, which Hansen declared to be an unusual ocean current. Hansen was forced to back off his hottest year ever claim, so he replaced it with a claim that hurricanes would get 50% stronger.
His heat, hurricane and drought forecasts had failed, so Hansen got into a new business which became the basis of the ongoing scam – data tampering.
Without Hansen’s bold move into massive data tampering, the global warming scam would have been dead decades ago. Hansen quickly learned that he could use the trust NASA had built up during the Apollo program as cover to turn cooling into warming. All things become possible once a scientist makes the move into data tampering and fraud.
Make no mistake about it, the people behind this scam are criminals – not scientists. They have nothing but failed predictions and fraud in their past and present.
June 19 used to be a hot day in the US prior to 1960, but temperatures have declined sharply over the past century. The five hottest June 19ths in the US were 1933, 1931 1910, 1936 and 1988 – the year Hansen predicted an increase in heatwaves before Congress.
On this date in 1933, most of the US was over 90 degrees, and a large percentage was over 100 degrees. New Ulm, Minnesota was 102 degrees, twenty-seven degrees warmer than today’s forecast maximum.
This week in 1988, James Hansen gave his testimony to Congress and said he was 99% certain the heat was caused by CO2 and said temperatures would get much hotter. That was the last really hot June 19 in the US.
The New York Times was (of course) very happy to assist Hansen in his scam, saying that the cooling trend was a “long expected warming trend.”
Global warming is mass superstition, hysteria and fraud, driven by fake scientists, fake journalists and fake politicians. If Donald Trump is going to drain the swamp, he needs to remove the criminals behind the global warming scam.
The press corps did everything they could to hack the election for Hillary Clinton. Having failed at that, they are now working 24×7 generating fake news in an attempt to overthrow the democratically elected leader of the United States.
