On this date in 1898, 90 degree weather covered the US from coast to coast, including many stations over 100 degrees and 110 degrees in Nebraska. Last year was the hottest year ever, and only 17% of US stations were over 90 degrees on August 22.

One hundred degree weather used to be common in the US on August 22, but rarely happens any more. In 1936, 1938 and 1983 more than 15% of US stations reported 100 degrees on this date. Recent years have been closer to one percent.

On August 22, 1936 – one hundred degree heat was reported from California to Michigan and West Virginia.

Experts insist that hot weather is increasing in the US.

In 1922, the Arctic was experiencing radical unheard of warming, and glaciers were disappearing.

This article is so packed full of stupid, it is difficult to know where to begin. The author claims that the climate is fighting back by shutting down oil wells.

Oil prices are at historic lows, because production is at historic highs. Nature doesn’t appear to be fighting back very hard. There is too much stupid in this article to cover it all, so I will just focus on imaginary Louisiana “rain bombs.”

There is no long term trend in heavy Louisiana precipitation.

During the summer of 1955 – Jennings, Louisiana had three days with more than 20 inches of rain. This included 21 inches on August 3 and 31 inches on August 5.  CO2 was 315 PPM at the time.

The percentage of rainfall events in Louisiana heavier than two inches has not changed over time. The two most extreme years were 1905 and 1980.

What is remarkable is the lack of hurricanes in Louisiana over the past decade. On this date in 1969 they were too busy cleaning up after category 5 Camille, to worry about brainless superstitions.

Fossil fuels are one of our greatest blessings, and lifted us out of squalor and misery. Only a complete moron would be upset about them.

Forecast high in Du Quoin, Illinois today is 80 degrees, 31 degrees cooler than 1900.

The five hottest August 21st’s in the US were 1936, 1983, 1929, 1900 and 1913.

On this date in 1955, almost the entire country was over 90 degrees.

On this date in 1916, it was 104 degrees at Cornwall, Vermont and Adrian, Michigan. Ninety-five degree temperatures stretched from coast to coast.

Experts say this is the hottest year ever.

Democrats tell us not to believe in conspiracy theories, after they just nominated a conspiracy theorist.

Just because Democrats have openly conspired to silence and prosecute climate skeptics, is no reason to believe in conspiracy theory. Conspiracies simply don’t exist.
