The Great Flood Of 1771

1771 was the year Captain Cook discovered Australia. It was also the year that the 500 year old Tyne Bridge in Newcastle collapsed from a massive flood “twelve feet above high water mark in spring tides

Simple Physics – Settled Science

In 1902, the father of global warming predicted that burning coal would make the Earth boil.

Earth had an ice age during the Ordovician Era – before the coal beds formed, with CO2 at 4,000 PPM. Global warming alarmists have been morons since day one.

Is Bernie Sanders Suffering From Dementia?

Bernie Sanders says “Nobody can recall” – when the problem is strictly his own faulty memory.

Bernie can’t remember 1990, which explains why he wants to do a repeat of the Soviet Union in 2015. The Berlin Wall fell in 1989.

New Mexico’s Carpetbagging Senator

New Mexico’s carpetbagging Senator Tom Udall recently told COP 21 negotiators to ignore the US Congress and Constitution.

37 Republican senators sent a letter about the Green Climate Fund to the president warning that: “Congress will not be forthcoming with these funds in the future without a vote in the Senate on any final agreement” from the Paris climate conference.

Tom Udall from New Mexico and Jeff Merkley from Oregon. They assured negotiators that the Clean Power Plan and other Obama climate change initiatives are not “fragile” but rooted in law

Western senators angle to influence Paris climate talks — High Country News

This is in direct violation to his oath of office, to uphold the US Constitution

If there were one principle the Founders wanted to make clearly understood in their new system of government it was that the power to make law would no longer belong to a king or dictator or a group of government workers, but would actually belong to those whom the people themselves have elected to office for that very purpose.

“All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” (Article. I, Section 1, Clause 1)

All Lawmaking Power Belongs to Congress

Udall is willing to trash the US Constitution, in order to power New Mexico off these crippled, useless devices.

2015-12-28-08-43-36

Udall has often stated that New Mexico’s trees are all going to die due to global warming.

2015-12-28-09-02-53

Never mind the rule of law. Udall’s climate superstition supersedes the US Constitution. We recently got rid of his carpetbagging brother in Colorado, but more work needs to be done in New Mexico.

Important Anniversary Coming Up!

It has been almost 100 years since the New York Times reported that Martians had built 1,000 miles of canals in just six weeks.

That was back when the Times was still a serious newspaper, before they started listening to Michael Mann and Katherine Hayhoe.

US January Warmth Peaked In The 1950s

The warmest Januaries in the US occurred from 1950-1954, when nearly one out of four days was over 60 degrees. Currently less than one January day out of six is over 60 degrees.

The area of the US reaching 60 degrees in January has three peaks in the 1930s, 1950s, and from 1995 to 2005, all reaching about 60% of the US. Over the past decade the areal coverage of January warmth has been close to the mean at about 50% of the country.

A Problem For Engineers To Solve

Our energy future is too important to be left to people devoid of engineering skills, like Barack Obama, Michael Mann, Leonordo Di Caprio, Bette Midler and Katharine Hayhoe. Even climate hack James Hansen understands this.

“Suggesting that renewables will let us phase rapidly off fossil fuels in the United States, China, India, or the world as a whole is almost the equivalent of believing in the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy.”

I’m just back from skiing with the dogs. Temperatures here were -20C last night. Looking south, the wind turbines at NREL (National Renewable Energy Lab) are motionless. They are producing  0 watts of power.

2015-12-27-10-15-40

Looking to the north, the Boulder coal fired power plant is keeping the city running. With harmless CO2 and H2O coming out of the stack, it is generating 186,000,000 watts. It generates this 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is not dependent on the sun shining or the wind blowing.

2015-12-27-10-16-55

Renewable energy is a farce. It fails just when you need it the most. It will never replace even one fossil fuel powered plant, because it is not reliable and requires 100% backup.

I am an engineer. I helped design essential products currently in use by hundreds of millions of people on a day to day basis. What products have Barack Obama, Michael Mann, Leonordo Di Caprio, Bette Midler and Katharine Hayhoe designed?

What right do these clowns have to question an engineer’s judgement about engineering? We need to get them out of the way, and put serious human beings in charge of the discussion. The future depends on it.

“Suggesting that renewables will let us phase rapidly off fossil fuels in the United States, China, India, or the world as a whole is almost the equivalent of believing in the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy.”

Hot Weather Is A Thing Of The Past In New York

New York used to have a lot of hot days prior to 1960, but it rarely happens any more.

2015-12-27-00-37-19

The frequency of cold nights hasn’t changed, but this year was by far the coldest on record – with more than one night out of twelve below zero F.

January through March was the coldest on record in New York this year.

New York governor Mario Cuomo is working hard to protect the state from overheating, a problem which exists only in his mind.
