Forgive me father. I have carbon sinned.

Because of man-made global warming, conditions in Boulder aren’t optimal for cycling. So instead I participated in the high CO2 intensity sport of cross-country skiing.

When I started skiing, the temperature was 12 degrees, and when I finished the temperature had risen to 20 degrees. I am 97% certain this was due to my exhaling CO2.

We now know that the original sin was Eve breathing, and had nothing to do with apples.

I promise not to go skiing again, at least until tonight when the moon comes out.

Arctic air temperatures highest since 1900, global report shows – Telegraph

The US weather Bureau reported exactly the same thing in 1922. Seals disappearing and fish being forced northwards. However, in 1922 the reported warming was much larger than 2.3 degrees.

In 1947, scientists reported 10 degrees Arctic warming, much more than the 2.3 degrees reported by Rick Spinrad.

The sea ice maximum occurred at the end of March, not February 25 as Spinrad claimed, and extent is the highest since at least 2004, not the “lowest on record”

Satellites show that recent Arctic temperatures peaked about 2010, and have fallen half a degree since then.

Before data tampering, Arctic temperatures were at least as warm in 1940 as they are now. Spinrad cherry-picked 1979 as his start date for many of his metrics, because it was the coldest year on record in the Arctic.

But the biggest lie of all is his claim “the lowest extent recorded since records began in 1979.” The graph below is from the 1995 IPCC report, and shows that NOAA has sea ice data going back to at least 1973, and that extent was much lower in 1974. Spinrad cherry picked 1979 because it was the maximum of the last 45 years, and hid the earlier NOAA data which showed that ice extent was much lower prior to 1979.

He said “we know it is due to climate change.” Climate change is natural and occurs all the time. What Spinrad is reporting is due to his own junk science.

Every single one of Spinrad’s claims was either false or misleading. The norm in government climate science. Why doesn’t peer-review catch these blatant errors?

The next president of the United States has apparently been reading my discussion of data tampering by NASA and NOAA.

I have been documenting how NASA, NOAA and CRU are creating a completely fraudulent hockey stick of warming – by cooling measured pre-1960 temperatures, warming post-1960 Northern Hemisphere temperatures, and ignoring satellite data which actually measure troposphere temperatures where the greenhouse effect occurs.

Let’s take a closer look at that. Before data tampering, Gavin shows that the 1930’s were the warmest decade at the capital of Iceland.

Same story with US temperatures. In 1999, NASA showed that US temperatures peaked in the 1930’s.

But now they show a very different story, with a hockey stick of warming after 1970.

Gavin’s data is based on NOAA data, which massively cools past temperatures to make a fake hockey stick of warming. The same tampering they did in Greenland and Iceland.

It is abundantly clear that the historical temperatures published by NOAA and NASA are fraudulent. But they have an even bigger problem with recent temperatures.

The greenhouse effect takes place in the troposphere, yet actual measurements of the troposphere by satellites and balloons show no warming this century. NASA’s claims of record warmth due to the greenhouse effect are not supported by science or the scientific method.

The current occupant of the White House demands this fraud from NASA. But the next President wants to put an end to it. Gavin should be thinking about trying to become an actual scientist again.

Their claims are at best misleading, and most are straight up lies.

There has been no change in Northern Hemisphere snow cover for 35 years.

The area of sea ice on Earth is nearly the same as 35 years ago. There was a drop from 2005 to 2012, but it has since “recovered.”

The temperature of Earth’s troposphere (where the greenhouse effect occurs) has hardly changed for 25 years.

Sea level has been rising for 20,000 years – most of that time much faster than now. Sea level is 400 feet higher than it was when the first Americans walked across the Bering Strait from Russia.

Life evolved and thrived with CO2 at much higher levels than now. If CO2 caused any of the other effects the EPA claimed (ocean acidity, extreme weather, health, etc.) the earth and oceans would be barren.

Gina McCarthy and the EPA are using tax dollars to support the biggest fraud in history.

Arctic sea ice growth has been unprecedented this autumn, and extent is far above every other year since at least 2004. This graph from the Danish Meteorological Institute is the best sea ice extent source for doing comparisons – because it uses more meaningful 30% concentration ice rather than the 15% ice used in other commonly cited graphs. DMI specifically recommends that you use this graph for comparisons with other years.

Alarmists constantly attack this graph, because they aren’t intelligent enough to read and comprehend the simple explanation DMI provides.

Paul Ehrlich from Stanford says climate change is a mortal threat. He also said that the oceans would be dead by 1980, and that the US will have food and water rationing by 1980.

In 1922, the US Consul reported a “radical change of climatic conditions in the Arctic” with “unheard of high temperatures.”  “Many old landmarks are so changed as to be unrecognizable.” “Glaciers have … entirely disappeared”

In 1923, the glaciers of Glacier National Park in Montana were rapidly disappearing and predicted to be gone by 1950.
