The warming from carbon dioxide released by burning a lump of coal exceeds the heat generated by the combustion in just 34 days.

It takes 45 days for oil combustion and 59 days for natural gas to achieve comparable warming to that generated by burning the respective fuel.

This shows that global warming does not take years and decades for its effects to be felt, shows a study by climate scientists at the Carnegie Institution for Science.

Four years ago, Andrew Dessler of Texas A&M announced that Texas would be hot and dry for the rest of the century

That forecast turned out to be a complete disaster.

Temperatures in Texas have fallen over the past century, and have plummeted since Dessler made his forecast.

It is clear that climate experts like Dessler and Hayhoe have little understanding of what actually drives the climate, yet the press continues to quote these same people over and over again – no matter how many times they are wrong.

Government scientists say that Greenland is melting down.

Greenland has gained half a trillion tons of snow since September. All of this has to return to the sea/atmosphere in order to maintain equilibrium of the ice sheet.

The melt season is over a month late getting started.

The coastal regions are still buried in snow. This is the capital of Greenland today.

Temperatures on the ice sheet are -20C

Temperatures are forecast to remain below freezing on the ice sheet for the next two weeks.

Greenland is not melting down. But it wasn’t always like this. Seventy-five years ago, glaciers were disappearing there very quickly.

The usual crew of climate clowns are talking nonsense about Texas weather again.

“As a scientist, I think it is essential to connect the dots between climate change and the increasing risk it poses to our families and communities,” said Katharine Hayhoe, an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech University. “Keeping our mouths shut on what the data is telling us, even if it’s in fear of vicious reprisals, is like a physician not telling a patient they have a dangerous condition just because they’re afraid of the patient’s reaction.”

What the data is telling us, Hayhoe said, is that climate change is altering the risk of many weather extremes, flooding chief among them.

As a scientist, Andrew Dessler — a professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M University — agreed with Hayhoe’s analysis of climate change’s role in the Texas flooding. While he noted that it will take about a year to conclusively determine if climate change worsened this event in particular, he said he “wouldn’t be surprised” if it did. “These are the kinds of changes we expect to see in a warming climate,” he said.

Four years ago, Dessler said Texas would be “hot and dry for the rest of the century.” Last month Hayhoe was warning of ongoing drought. These people have no idea what they are talking about. The heaviest rainfall events are not increasing in Texas

Texas temperature is not increasing.

When it is dry, Hayhoe and Dessler blame it on “climate change” When it is wet, they blame it on “climate change”  They suffer an affliction which was identified as early as 1871.

This is bad, but it is much worse than it seems. The data tampering has accelerated as time went on. NASA has quadrupled 1955-1980 sea level rise  since their 1982 version.

A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.

The findings will prove humiliating to the Bush administration, which has repeatedly denied that climate change even exists.

An imminent scenario of catastrophic climate change is ‘plausible and would challenge United States national security in ways that should be considered immediately’, they conclude. As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions.

Senior climatologists, however, believe that their verdicts could prove the catalyst in forcing Bush to accept climate change as a real and happening phenomenon. They also hope it will convince the United States to sign up to global treaties to reduce the rate of climatic change.
