Odds are you have a very fast Intel microprocessor in your computer. One of the main reasons Intel processors are so fast is because they have a very fast bus, called the QPI bus – which handles all the communication between the CPU and the rest of the system.

I was on the original QPI design team at Intel in Fort Collins, CO. My job was to flush out every last bug in the design of the QPI bus. I couldn’t afford to put up with egos or incompetence, and filed hundreds of bugs against designers. They all got fixed and the QPI bus is now what gives Intel their competitive advantage in the marketplace.

When  academic climate hacks attack me with their their elementary school failing mathematics and anti-science superstitions, it makes me laugh even harder. They know they would get destroyed in a debate with me, and that is why they won’t do it. These intellectual midgets are not in the same league with me.

I was rewarded for finding bugs in industry. Academic peer-review is the exact opposite. Academics are rewarded for scratching each other on the back, and not finding bugs.

Climate science is a farce. These people have no idea what they are doing. If they were engineers, nothing would work.

Then they put fraudsters Michael Mann and Katherine Hayhoe on the stage. The irony was lost on the audience.

Merchants of Doubt had Hansen again repeat his nonsensical assertion that the high temperatures on Venus are due to the greenhouse effect. This is mindless mythological nonsense started by Sagan and constantly repeated by clueless climate scientists

Venus surface goes for months at a time without receiving any sunlight (due to very slow rotation on its axis)  yet the temperature does not drop more than a few degrees. How can a “greenhouse” operate without any sunlight? The whole point of a greenhouse gas is that it allows SW solar radiation to pass, but blocks LW radiation.

Equally as damning is that the dry lapse rate on Earth is similar to Venus, and that it is unaffected by humidity.

When a mass of air is lifted, it cools at the dry adiabatic lapse rate of 5 1/2°F per 1,000 feet as long as it  remains  unsaturated  (relative  humidity  below  100 percent).

Air at 99% humidity has ~99 times as much greenhouse gas as air at 1% humidity, yet the lapse rate is the same. It obviously has nothing to do with the greenhouse effect.  The temperature at the surface is primarily controlled by the height of the troposphere. Temperature and volume are the only two degrees of freedom in the Ideal gas law. PV = nRT

Atmospheric pressure is fixed by the weight of the atmosphere . That doesn’t change. Similarly, n is fixed. R is a constant. The only degrees of freedom are V (determined by height of the troposphere) and T.

During the winter, the height of the troposphere decreases and temperature drops. During summer, the height of the troposphere increases and the temperature increases. If n increased (say due to volcanic activity) then P and V would also increase and T would rise proportional to the increase in number of molecules.

Venus is hot because it has a very tall, high pressure troposphere. If Earth didn’t have oceans and limestone, it would be extremely hot here for the same reason.

As long as the height of the troposphere remains relatively fixed, the temperature on Earth won’t change tremendously. If the Sun suddenly went out, the troposphere would collapse and so would temperatures.

Whatever the current weather is, it is a deadly permanent trend for these geniuses.

One of the key players in Merchants of Doubt was a guy named Michael Shermer, who writes for Unscientific Antiamerican magazine. He claimed to be a converted former skeptic, based on finding out that glaciers are melting and sea level is rising.

Had this “scientist” done any actual research, he would have known that these things have been going on for a very long time, and are not evidence of global warming. Glaciers were melting during NASA’s coldest year ever.

Sea level rose much faster prior to 8,000 years ago.

A real scientist would know that you can’t determine a change from one point in time. You have to look at whether the trends have changed over time.

The usual pack of morons has been hyping “record low winter ice extent” just in time to be humiliated again. The Arctic surge has begun. Over the next few days there will be a large increase in Arctic sea ice extent, due to northerly winds and cold temperatures on both sides of the Arctic.

But the real story is that Arctic sea ice has returned to 2005/2006 levels, and the Death Spiral is dead.

The trends for atmospheric CO2 haven’t changed at all. 2014 had one of the largest increases in atmospheric CO2 on record.

Perhaps the plan is to get some sort of meaningless agreement, declare Obama the savior of the planet, and move on with nice fat retirement checks for Mikey and Katie?

The percentage of heavy rainfalls hasn’t changed.

Katherine Hayhoe has no evidence that the climate of DC is changing, and it is very unlikely she has done any actual research on that topic. The Congressman in the middle, Bob Ingliss, listens to these fraudsters, and then goes off on an ego trip imagining that he is saving the planet by supporting their cause. This makes his kids proud of him.

Even if he believes the CO2 hoax, Obama just agreed to let China be 400% US emissions by the year 2030. Nothing the US does will make any difference anyway. The whole thing is mindless superstition.

I always sit in the front row at movie theaters. Been doing that since my days designing and installing theater sound systems circa 1984. Tonight I was rewarded by getting to sit next to the greatness of Mikey and Katie.

The guy in the middle is a Republican Congressman from South Carolina named Bob Ingliss, who turned to the dark side after his son watched Al Gore’s sci-fi flick and told his dad that he would only vote for him if he saved the planet. (True story)

I asked Mikey why they don’t just make a Democratic state like Vermont or Rhode Island 100% wind and solar, and prove that it can be done. He said that they are already doing that in California and maybe in Pennsylvania.

The movie itself was straight up filthy smear tactics. Most of the movie was about the tobacco industry in the 1960’s. Then they showed a few clips of climate skeptics and said that because skeptics question a scientific theory, they are just like the tobacco industry in the 1960’s – and intermixed imagery from big tobacco. Filthy propaganda.

There wasn’t any attempt made to trace money to the skeptics, because there isn’t any. It was all guilt by daring to question the $29 billion/year global warming scam.

Mikey and Katie both came across as actually believing their own BS. I think they are both deluded, rather than dishonest. Then I walked over to the White House and honored the messiah.
