Democratic congressman Elijah Cummings tore into MIT professor and Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber on Tuesday for his remarks on American voters and the passage of the Affordable Care Act.
The ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee made GOP chairman Darrell Issa’s opening statement sound tame by comparison.
“As far as I can tell, we are here today to beat up on Jonathan Gruber for stupid — I mean absolutely stupid — comments he made over the last few years,” he began, staring angrily at the hapless professor.
In other words, they are skapegoating Gruber for what all the Democrats did.
While appearing on Sunday’s edition of ABC’s “This Week,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., admitted Democrats in the Senate knew Obama lied when he said Americans could keep their insurance
“So were you misled?” Raddatz asked in a follow-up.
“No,” Gillibrand said. “We all knew.”
Heat Waves in Europe Will Increase, Study Finds
By DAVID JOLLY DEC. 8, 2014
PARIS — In June 2003, a high-pressure weather system took hold over Western Europe and hovered there for weeks, bringing warm tropical air to the region and making that summer the hottest since at least 1540, the year King Henry VIII discarded his fourth wife, Anne of Cleves.
Temperatures were about 2.3 degrees Celsius, or 4.1 degrees Fahrenheit, above average that summer, contributing to perhaps 70,000 additional deaths and hitting the elderly particularly hard. The heat was a factor in the outbreak of forest fires and in lower than usual crop yields. It caused Alpine glaciers to shrink at a rate double that seen in the previous record summer, five years earlier.
Now, three scientists from the Met Office, the British weather agency, have concluded that human-caused global warming is going to make European summer heat waves “commonplace” by the 2040s.

Complete bullshit. The hot summer of 2003 was a one-off event and not a trend. These crooks lie about everything.
Contrary to the lies of climate experts, US drought is near historically low levels. The animation below flashes between December 2014 and December 1963
By the end of the month, the drought in the west will be further reduced.
The amount of sea ice on Earth is not far from a record high, as NCDC declares it the hottest year ever.

NCDC doesn’t actually have any idea what the temperature is near the poles, but that doesn’t stop them from making fake claims about “hottest year ever.”
Gavin cleverly shifted the baseline, to hide his removal of the 1940’s blip.
This is the actual comparison, without the baseline shift.
Gavin knocked 0.3C off the period from 1910 to 1940.

Dangerously hot weather is increasing in the Midwest
The report looked at changes in summertime weather patterns using information dating back to the 1940s and 1950s.
The study focused on weather systems called air masses — vast bodies of air overhead that define the weather around us. Specifically, it explored how dangerously hot summer air masses and cool, dry summer air masses have changed in frequency over the last 60 years.
The report also examined how the average daytime temperatures, humidity levels, and nighttime temperatures within different types of weather systems have changed over time.
Key findings include:
Heat waves lasting three days or more have become more common over the last six decades. St. Louis has approximately four more three-day heat waves each year than it did in the 1940s.
On average, hot humid days have increased more rapidly in frequency, while hot dry days have increased in temperature more rapidly across the Midwest since the 1940s and 1950s.
Heat in the Heartland: 60 Years of Warming in the Midwest (2012) | Union of Concerned Scientists
In 1936, almost every station in the midwest reached 100 degrees. This year less than 2%. The area of the midwest over 100 degrees has plummeted.
In the summer of 1936, 18% of maximum temperatures were over 100 degrees. This year close to 0%
Maximum summer temperatures have plummeted since the 1930s.
There isn’t one smidgen of truth to any of their claims. They cherry picked the 1940s as a starting point specifically to exclude the hot 1930’s, but even with their cherry pick everything they are saying is patently false.
These people are abusing the good name of science, to steal other people’s money.
Experts say that very complex and divergent Mann-made destructive processes, have caused the ice to be almost exactly normal at both poles.
Further unprecedented human interference may well cause increased normalcy.
