• The deal says US decreases emissions, while China increases them. The 2030 number is meaningless.

The U.S. set a new target to reduce its emissions of heat-trapping gases by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025, compared with 2005 levels. That’s a sharp increase from earlier in Obama’s presidency, when he pledged to cut emissions by 17 percent by 2020.

In other words, Obama just made an illegal treaty to reach an impossible and pointless goal of making the US even colder, with a country that has no intention of reciprocating.

The President shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur

Skeptics have no reason to cling to junk science. We have massive volumes of evidence that alarmists are wrong.

People who don’t accept the most fundamental science like the greenhouse effect, shoot themselves and all other skeptics in the foot. So you don’t like the word “greenhouse?” Go cry about it in your beer.

Stop doing that. Stick to science.

We actually have people commenting here making the argument that a blanket doesn’t keep you warm, because it doesn’t make you hotter than your body temperature.

Dams are often built to generate electricity.

The way this works is that the dam impedes the flow of water, and thus increases the potential energy of the water behind the dam – creating a  large potential energy difference between the two sides of the dam.

Every modern weather forecast model has a radiative transfer model in its core, which models the greenhouse effect.

Weather models would not work without fairly accurate models of the greenhouse effect, because humidity and cloudiness have a large impact on temperature  – largely due to the greenhouse effect.

People who don’t accept the greenhouse effect – are simply not dealing with reality. And they make skeptics look extremely ignorant.

The year 1913 brought the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth, and the longest heatwave on record in the Midwest.

But it wasn’t just summer that was hot.

Basin, Wyoming was 74 degrees on November 11, 1913 (more than 60 degrees warmer than today) and averaged a mind-boggling 70 degrees during the first half of the month.

The greenhouse effect is fundamental physics. People who can’t accept that fact, make it more difficult for skeptics to get their message out.
