Gavin is telling people that August was the hottest ever even though his own data says it isn’t – and he is basing his claim on bogus warm temperatures which were fabricated from no data.
Arctic sea ice area has increased by 2,000 Manhattans over the past five days, and is up 58% over two years ago.
Global sea ice area is averaging 3,000 Manhattans above normal since the start of 2013, and has been above normal 62% of the time.

Her thesis has already collapsed. But it gets worse. She claims that open water in September is absorbing sunlight. Apparently no one told her that the sun sets at the North Pole in mid-September, and it receives almost no sunlight that time of year. In fact it is the exact opposite. Open water in September is able to radiate heat out into space – which ice covered water can’t do.
Because of this, late summer ice loss is a negative feedback, not a positive one. These experts talk very confidently about topics which they fail to understand the most basic facts of.

During cooler climatic periods, however, the high-altitude winds are broken up into irregular cells by weaker and more plentiful pressure centers, causing formation of a “meridional circulation” pattern. These small, weak cells may stagnate over vast areas for many months, bringing unseasonably cold weather on one side and unseasonably warm weather on the other. Droughts and floods become more frequent and may alternate season to season, as they did last year in India. Thus, while the hemisphere as a whole is cooler, individual areas may alternately break temperature and precipitation records at both extremes. If global temperatures should fall even further, the effects could be considerably more drastic. According to the academy (National Academy Of Sciences) report on climate, we may be approaching the end of a major interglacial cycle, with the approach of a full-blown 10,000-year ice age, a real possibility
Graphs like this would be trivial to debunk if my analysis was incorrect. Go for it.
The number of temperature readings has increased over time, so that is not going to fly as an explanation for the decline.
We hear idiotic remarks all the time from experts like :
We are having 100 year rainfalls every year now
It is difficult to grasp the level of stupidity behind that remark. The odds of winning the lottery are 100 million to one. For any individual, it is a multi-million year event – yet it happens all the time.
Same story with rainfall. If you have 5,000 weather stations which have been keeping records for 100 years, odds are you will have fifty “100 year rainfalls” every year.
