In 1961, there was a unanimous consensus for global cooling

The 1975 National Academy of Sciences report showed this cooling.

NCAR showed this cooling

NOAA showed this cooling in both Radiosonde and surface data

Hadley still shows this cooling in their radiosonde data

But NASA GISS shows no cooling during the 1960s

Surface and radiosonde data from multiple sources showed similar strong cooling, but NASA shows a slight warming during that period

The next graph shows the hockey stick of divergence between GISS and the legitimate data sources.

The global cooling scare doesn’t fit the NASA agenda, so they simply got rid of it, the old fashioned Orwellian way.

Two years ago, I caught NSIDC pulling a fast one in their sea ice graphs. A few hours before the Arctic extent line was about to cross the 1979-2000 mean line, they changed their plotting scheme to use a five day trailing average for the current ice and a nine day trailing average for the climatology. This moved the extent line away from the mean line, and narrowly avoided the immediate death of the death spiral.

I pointed out to them they can’t do that because it puts a two day relative shift in the data – and after arguing with me about it they admitted they can’t do that and fixed it the next day.

I was shocked to learn that the entire basis of climate alarmism, is models which extremely over-predict warming in the tropical troposphere.

40 years ago we had a president abusing power, Arctic sea ice cover was about the same as now, and the climate was crazy due to global cooling.

And today …..

NOAA/NASA are making moves towards claiming that 2014 is the hottest year ever, based on their bogus surface temperatures.

More accurate satellite data shows 2014 as quite ordinary, and 0.4C below the hottest year of 1998.

NASA knows that satellite data is more accurate than surface data, but they choose to ignore it because it doesn’t fit the global warming agenda.
