There is a lot of thick ice in the western Arctic, which will be difficult to melt this summer.

That does not guarantee a high summer extent minimum however, as 2007 also started with a lot of thick ice in the western Arctic. During August/September 2007, very strong southerly winds from Siberia compacted the ice towards the Canadian side, and caused a low summer extent minimum.

So my forecast is that the Al Gore/John Kerry forecast of ice-free 2014. is not going to happen.

• It is not normal for a president to attack American citizens. At least not for American presidents.
• Fires happen all the time.
• Science does not use the word “deny.” That is a word used by religious true believers.

In 1903, a Texas fire burned up 10,000 square miles. Who  would Obama have blamed it on then?

Some days I carry around a 1938 8x56R shell, as a reminder of history. It is a beautiful piece of work, gold colored from tip to tail. That caliber was never used as a combat round by Hitler’s army, but rather used to execute civilians. Millions of them.

It reminds me of what a psychotic leader can do, once he gets the population whipped up into an hysterical, mindless fear.

Arresting the boisterous band of lavishly funded climate skeptics won’t solve the problem.

That would be a band of zero individuals.

 They should be made to go in public, with a spotlight on them, and get them to explain why they are denying the fact of climate change

That is exactly what we have been trying to do, but they refuse to debate us. And it would be refuting the big lie of catastrophic climate change.
