In a series of news conferences, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said the shooter entered Arapahoe High School in Centennial armed with a shotgun and looking for a specific teacher whose name the gunman called out. The student made no effort to hide the shotgun as he walked through the halls, deep into the building.

The incident, which began about 12:30 p.m., lasted about 14 minutes after the shooter entered the building.

More research needs to be done on how large wind turbine arrays might affect the weather. These turbines could potentially cause significant changes to precipitation patterns along the coast. As I blogged about in 2012, in the Southeast U.S., tropical cyclones provide 15 – 20% of the annual precipitation, and 20% – 50% of all droughts between 1960 – 2009 were busted by a landfalling tropical storm or hurricane. If wind turbine arrays reduce the intensity of tropical storms making landfall, it makes sense that the amount of rain they dump will also decline. Droughts are often more damaging than hurricanes

It started just before 12:33 p.m. on Friday, moments after the high school senior and debate club member parked his car in the student lot at Arapahoe High School in suburban Denver, then — wearing a bandolier containing shotgun shells and carrying a pump-action shotgun, a machete and a backpack holding three Molotov cocktails — walked through a door adjacent to the library.

By 12:35 p.m., it was all over.

Frank Woronoff told CNN he had known Pierson since they were freshmen together.

“He was the last person I would expect to shoot up a high school,” the high school senior said. “He was honestly incredibly humble and down to earth. He was a little geeky, but in a charming way.”

Friday’s 14 minutes has now morphed into 80 seconds. The teacher was alerted and left the building within 80 seconds of his arrival? Complete bullshit, as usual. It is a huge school and would have taken him several minutes just to walk into the school from the student parking lot. He was carrying  a shotgun and a machete, and was able to get into the school without being taken down. Unbelievable.

Then they declare Claire to be dead.

Karl Pierson, 18  was able to legally buy a pump-action shotgun that he used to fatally shoot Claire Davis, 17, in the head at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colo., on Friday.

She isn’t dead, and the only reason to deny him the background check was that he was a leftist anti-gun Obama supporter.

The best part of this? The best part is that decent politicians were trying to do something about guns in Colorado. Some Democratic politicians in the state took the lead on smart, tough legislation this year, trying to expand background checks — which only idiots think is some threat to everything good and decent — and limit the size of ammunition magazines. It meant they were trying to be as smart and tough on guns as the state of New York is.

They passed the expanded background checks here, and it didn’t make any difference. Pump action shotguns don’t use magazines.

Maybe you know what happened. If you don’t, here’s what happened: Various knuckle-draggers from the National Rifle Association and the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners organized successful recalls of two state senators, both Democrats — John Morse and Angela Giron — who voted for the tougher laws.

The majority of Colorado voters are knuckle draggers.

This asshole lies about everything and insults the people in Colorado, yet has nothing bad to say about the socialist anti-gun Obama supporting scum who committed the crime. I don’t believe for one second that he wasn’t pushed into this by someone else. The timing is exactly what I predicted at the beginning of the month. The only beneficiaries are the gun grabbers. Someone is desperate to disarm Americans, and will stop at nothing.
