Colorado Woman Who Championed Obamacare Loses Insurance Plan

The Colorado Division of Insurance says 250,000 people in Colorado alone have lost their policies in the last few months.

Cathy Wagner says she isn’t political and has never written a lawmaker, much less the president, but with Obamacare she felt compelled.  “I really just wanted him to know …I was so hopeful that this plan was going to move us forward, but in fact I think it’s moving us backward,” Wagner said.

Wagner and her husband retired early. She was a nurse for 35 years and championed Obamacare, until she received a letter from her insurance company saying it was canceling her policy.

“I was really shocked … all of my hopes were sort of dashed,” Wagner said. “’Oh my gosh President Obama, this is not what we hoped for, it’s not what we were told.’ “

She was shocked further to learn that for the same coverage she would pay 35 percent more and have a higher deductible.

“Our premium for next year is going up to over $1,000 a month for two of us and we’re two fairly healthy individuals,” Wagner said.

“This is yet the most recent issue,” said U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colorado.

DeGette sits on the committee that oversees Obamacare. She insists the Wagners are the exception, not the rule.

“As we work through all of this I think that a year from now people overall are going to be very, very happy with the way the Affordable Care Act is working,” DeGette said.

Very, very happy?  150 years ago, she would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town. Last year she wanted to ban high capacity rifle magazines, because they would all run out of “bullets” eventually and become useless.

Asked why banning ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds would be effective in reducing gun violence, DeGette responded:

“These are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

After the Benghazi attack, the western press completely ignored the Libyan president when he insisted it was a terrorist attack, and instead stuck with Hillary Clinton’s bullshit about YouTube.

Since the Philippines cyclone, the western press have completely ignored the 146 MPH reports from the Philippine government, and are sticking with Jeff Masters 195 MPH bullshit.

Progressives see themselves as superior beings who were put here to protect the helpless and unintelligent brown people from evil and stupid American conservatives.

At some point they will learn they are actually the most useless people on earth, and that no one needs them – probably the hard way.

Antarctic sea ice is currently about three standard deviations above normal, according to NSIDC graphs.

The excess sea ice is necessarily located at relatively low latitudes, and the sun is near its peak in Antarctica now. This means that large amounts of sunshine are being reflected back into space by the excess ice.

Actually, science consists entirely of theories. In 1953, my father studied quantum mechanics at Cornell under Freeman Dyson. Dyson taught that quantum mechanics is settled science and well understood.

Then in 1986, my father attended a discussion about quantum mechanics at the University of Adelaide, when Freeman Dyson said “nobody really understands quantum mechanics.“

My father responded with “that isn’t what you taught us at Cornell“

Freeman Dyson responded with “I am older and wiser now.”

If people didn’t argue over scientific theories, we would still be living in dark caves – like where Obama’s intellect resides.

How do you debate people with fully addled brains?

After unveiling his widely acclaimed Health Care Reform, President Obama now is bringing us Immigration Reform. The new health care system is running like a well-oiled machine, and desperately needs another ten million unfunded participants.

First they told us that we were in a permanent drought and the forests were going to be killed by fires and beetles. Then the rains came and they told us that the floods were biblical 1,000 year floods – which they had predicted all along.

Never mind that Colorado has had several well documented rainfalls and floods which were larger during the past century. Never mind that the USGS marker on Boulder Creek never reached the 100 year flood mark, much less the 1,000 year one.

The game they played was that the odds of that much rain falling on one particular rain gauge were very low. This is analogous to saying that the odds of there being a winner in the Colorado Lottery are millions to one, because the odds of any individual ticket winning are millions to one. Only a complete douche bag would make that argument, because there are winners all the time. And there you have it – climate alarmism in a nutshell.
