New warning on Arctic sea ice melt

The researchers are now working with a new computer model for Arctic sea ice

Scientists who predicted a few years ago that Arctic summers could be ice-free by 2013 now say summer sea ice will probably be gone in this decade.

The original prediction, made in 2007, gained Wieslaw Maslowski’s team a deal of criticism from some of their peers.

Now they are working with a new computer model – compiled partly in response to those criticisms – that produces a “best guess” date of 2016.

Greens tell us that global warming is wiping out the human race, killing millions of people – and getting worse. They also tell us that rapid population growth is going to kill us all.

It is amazing that their heads don’t explode from all the self-contradictory ideas which make up their core belief system.

Tornadoes and hurricanes are at a record low, while politicians and scientists tell us they are spiraling out of control.

There has been no warming for 17 years, while politicians and scientists tell us that warming is accelerating faster than they expected.

Sea level is scarcely rising, while politicians and scientists tell us that it is rising out of control.

Same story for fires, drought, etc. We truly live in a global insane asylum.

The National Weather Service in Charleston. S.C.. said that city, outlying coastal Islands. Beaufort and possibly even Georgetown and Myrtle Beach would be covered easily with 13 feet of water.

We have learned during the past few months that Obama has access to everybody’s private records – except for his own. It took him 51 years to find his birth certificate, and he still hasn’t found his college transcripts or figured out what he was doing on the night of September 11, 2012.

Meanwhile, back in the real world – global sea ice area is the seventh highest on record for the date, the highest since 1994, and considerably higher than 1979.

Global sea ice area is not far off the all-time record.

Year over year ice growth blew away the old record by almost a factor of two.

Some experts have attributed the sea ice growth to glaciers in Antarctica rapidly melting at -60ºC this winter.

It turns out that 2012 temperatures were not the “new normal” after all.

The head of the Colorado Democratic Party blamed Tea Party Republicans in an interview with MSNBC host Ed Schultz on Tuesday for spurring a ballot measure in 11 counties calling for them to secede and form their own state.

“They want their own state now,” party chair Rick Palacio told Schultz. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted their own country after this. You’re absolutely right, though: this is the same type of people that make up the Tea Party, and I would imagine that there are a lot of Tea Party folks that are behind this.”
