In June 1991 Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines erupted, and blocked sunlight entering the Earth’s atmosphere for 3-4 years – causing large scale global cooling. The summer of 1993 was the coolest on record in the US.

At the time of the eruption, the RSS satellite global temperature anomaly was almost twice as large as it was in August 2013. The graph below plots RSS annual temperatures vs. atmospheric CO2, with the Pinatubo cooled years 1992-1994 removed, and using only the most recent month of incomplete year 2013.

As you can see below, there has been essentially no warming since CO2 was 355 PPM in 1991, and temperatures peaked at 365 PPM.

NASA satellite temperature data completely nullifies the basis of the recent IPCC report, and the very existence of McKibben’s 350.org organization.

Bottom line is that there has been almost no global warming since the IPPC’s first report. They are trying to buy time with their lies, but the scientific game is over and they have lost.

This is certainly a typo, but whatever the actual forecast was – it was also way off the mark.

The fifth Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report states with 95 percent confidence that humans are the main cause of the current global warming. Many media outlets have reported that this is an increase from the 90 percent certainty in the fourth IPCC report, but actually the change is much more significant than that. In fact, if you look closely, the IPCC says that humans have most likely caused all of the global warming over the past 60 years.

I have to agree with the Nutter about this. Data tampering by government climate scientists is likely responsible for 100% of the warming shown in their graphs since 1940.

With each successive decline in temperature, the IPCC has gained confidence that their exponentially increasing warming models are correct.

Note that the linear decline seen since TAR in 2001 is almost a perfect fit for the exponential increase of 0.4ºC predicted by Hansen during that interval.

The next graph is a closeup showing actual temperatures since 2001, overlaid on Hansen’s forecasts.

Bottom line is that you would have to have the IQ of a turnip to believe any of the spectacularly transparent lies being spewed by the IPCC this week.

After five more years of no warming, AR6 will announce that they have 99% confidence that humans have wrecked the climate.

They gain confidence and boldness from each worsening failure, apparently taking their inspiration from the White House.

Six weeks ago Walt Meier made this bold pronouncement :

This year “will without a doubt” rank in the top five lowest levels of ice extent ever recorded in the satellite era, and there is a good possibility that 2013 could rank second in terms of recorded ice lows, said Walt Meier, a scientist at the National Snow & Ice Data Center.

And NSIDC has now acknowledged that their 100% probability forecasts are worthless.

The IPCC has been running around naked and ugly ever since Michael Mann killed off the last few thousand years of climate history and chopped down Briffa’s trees.

They believe that by making loud proclamations that they are clothed in fine official government science, people aren’t going to notice that they are bare-assed naked and hideously ugly.

Anderson’s tale involves a vain king who was preoccupied with his appearance and his wardrobe.
