There are 23 HCN stations in Iowa which have been continuously active since at least 1930. All of them set their record temperature in either 1901, 1930, 1934 or 1936.

Shock News : NOAA Finally Stopped Lying About The Colorado Floods

ScreenHunter_944 Sep. 25 19.12

“Having seen the September 1938 analog should somewhat humble us, and remind us that nature has a way of delivering without human intervention in the climate system,” says Martin Hoerling, a research meteorologist at NOAA’s Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, Colo. “Climate change is operating, there’s no question about that, and water vapor has gone up,” but in this instance, climate change “really wasn’t a factor.”

Were Colorado floods result of global warming? Probably not. (+video) – CSMonitor.com

I pointed this out to Hoerling a couple of weeks ago, and it seems to have finally sunk in.

Shock News : People Who Make Long Term AGW Forecasts Are Liars

Snow is not a thing of the past. The Arctic is not ice free. Manhattan is not underwater. The human race has not starved to death. Tornadoes have not increased. Hurricanes have not increased. Sea level rise has not accelerated and temperatures have been flat for the past 17 years.

Nobody knows how or when the climate will change, and anyone who says they do is a modern day snake oil salesman.

Video: Navy Yard shooting: FBI releases footage of Aaron Alexis stalking victims – Telegraph

This guy walked around the hallways shooting people for half an hour, and the military base was completely incapable of dealing with it. He should have been taken down within 30 seconds by someone with a rifle, except for the breathtaking stupidity of progressives.

Are humans responsible for the theoretical warming which would be happening if the world was actually warming?

  1. Yes, the 0.00 degrees warming over the last 17 years is your fault
  2. Regardless of what happens with the weather, skyrocketing electricity costs are still a good thing
  3. Humans tampering with data have caused a tremendous amount of warming since the 1930s.
  4. Obama says it is warming and it is America’s fault, and he wouldn’t lie
  5. Only white, male heterosexuals are responsible
  6. 1, 3 and 7

Understanding The Arctic – In 30 Seconds

Starting in 1988, strong winter winds caused lots of thicker older ice to be pushed out into the North Atlantic. This went on for almost a decade and caused the volume of ice to decline by 50%. Thinner ice melts more easily in the summer, and the summer minimums were dropping until 2007.

2007 brought very strong southerly winds all summer and into following winter. That pushed a lot more ice out the Arctic. The amount of multi-year ice has been increasing since 2009.

2012’s melt season started with southerly winds in the Beaufort Sea opening a large hole in the ice. This absorbed a lot of sunlight in June and July, which warmed the water. When a large winter storm struck in Early August, the warm water mixed with the remaining ice and melted out the Beaufort Sea very quickly.

The winter of 2012-2013 saw a sharp turnaround – the ice pushed from the vulnerable east to the safe western side of the Arctic, and was followed by a very cold summer. If this pattern continues for a couple more years, ice will be almost back to “normal” and will stop screaming at Mark Serreze.

What does all this have to do with CO2? Nothing.

My Health Plan

I ride my bike everywhere, work out every day, never watch television, eat only small quantities of very healthy food – and haven’t had to use health insurance or car insurance for decades. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I save in automobile costs.

80% of US health care costs could be avoided by lifestyle changes, which would also improve people’s quality of life.

Healthy lifestyle vs. Obamination. Tough call.
