WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Americans strongly oppose U.S. intervention in Syria’s civil war and believe Washington should stay out of the conflict even if reports that Syria’s government used deadly chemicals to attack civilians are confirmed, a Reuters/Ipsos poll says.

About 60 percent of Americans surveyed said the United States should not intervene in Syria’s civil war, while just 9 percent thought President Barack Obama should act.

Obama says that he controls the climate, and has since June 2008. But now there are claims that Congressional Republicans control the climate.

Pine forests burn naturally about every decade or so.

If you take out a 30 year mortgage on a home in the pine forest, you can expect to have your house burn three times during the life of the loan.

But at least you can call up your family and blame it on climate change.

The latest hysteria from California is that fire threatens a reservoir and 3,000 year old Sequoia trees which have survived hundreds of fires.

I’m pretty sure that water still doesn’t burn.

Before NOAA data tampering, January-August 2013 has been the twelfth coldest in the US since 1930.

NOAA is still obsessed with 2012, despite the fact that it was an outlier and not indicative of anything to do with climate.

Arctic ice melt has dropped to almost zero. Comparing current ice vs. mid-September 2012, there is more than 100% more ice than at last year’s minimum. A rapid freeze between now and mid-September could make this number much larger.

The alarming loss of sea ice which has grown worse each summer over the past several decades, has taken a sharp turn for the worse: this year the loss is right in the middle, the most resilient part of the ice cover. This could lead to a completely ice-free Arctic Ocean by September.
