One theory which alarmists used to talk about (before they went full criminal) was that global warming causes stratospheric cooling, and they used the trend below.
This is a very clever graph – for the brain damaged. What actually happened was that two volcanic eruptions pushed particulates up into stratosphere. The particles absorbed sunlight and warmed the upper atmosphere. When the particulates settled out, temperatures cooled and flattened. There is no “CO2 footprint”

Another possibility would be to look at the actual data, rather than relying on faith in a small group of criminals who call themselves scientists.

The next map compares current ice (white) vs. the 2006 minimum (pink.) Unless a very early freeze starts, it seems unlikely that 2013 will beat 2006.
The next map does the same comparison vs. 2005. It is quite possible that 2013 will beat 2005, if temperatures remain cold.
Earlier this week, Jeff Masters explained that global warming is causing rats to take over the earth, and The Washington Post announced that the vermin have already taken over Washington DC.
John Cook has followed up with this by theorizing that rats cause global cooling.

The Black Death caused a decrease in the human populations of Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East during the 14th century and a consequent decline in agricultural activity. A similar effect occurred in North America after European contact in the 16th century. Ruddiman (2003) suggests reforestation took place as a result of this reduced human population and agricultural activity, allowing more carbon dioxide uptake from the atmosphere to the biosphere, thus having a cooling effect.

According to Hansen, this massive glacial retreat occurred during the coldest years on record.
Hansen also tells us that glacial melt is due to global warming, and is going to drown Manhattan by the year 2008.
The past two weeks normally produce the fastest Arctic ice loss of the year, about 750,000 km². This year, less than half that much ice melted.
It also was the coldest and shortest summer on record at the North Pole.
