Obama also suggested that the outcome of the case could have been different if Martin were white. “If a white male teen would have been involved in this scenario,” he said, “both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different.”
There is zero evidence that this had anything to do with race. Zimmerman was investigated by the FBI, police and the prosecutors, and none found any evidence to support that idea.
The issue was an out of control teenager who decided to attack a “creepy ass cracka“. Obama is the person who brought race into it.
The president also nodded to the Justice Department investigation which is probing whether or not to bring federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman. But Obama also urged state and local officials to review their own procedures to see how to improve their law enforcement practices.

He also called for a review of so-called “Stand Your Ground” laws, a central issue in the case.
It was not brought up during the case.
“If Trayvon Martin was of age and was armed, could he have stood his ground on that sidewalk?” Obama asked. “If the answer to that question is at least ambiguous, then it seems to me that we should examine those laws.”
Martin was suspended from school for drug abuse and theft. He never could have gotten a CCW license. He would have been extremely dangerous with a gun. There was no indication that Zimmerman threatened Martin any way. Zimmerman was waiting for the police to arrive when he was attacked.
And though Obama sidestepped the idea of demanding a new, national conversation on race — and while he said that racism was far from eliminated — the president ended on an upbeat moment, expressing his view that race relations are “getting better.

From July 19 to July 29 1930, temperatures at Laurel, Maryland were over 100F eight times, including two days at 106F. Temperatures during the current heatwave are forecast to be more than ten degrees cooler than during the low CO2 year of 1930.
On July 18, 1934 every station but one in Nebraska was over 100F. Four were over 110F, twenty-three were over 105F, and Weeping Water reached 112F.

Martin was standing over Zimmerman ground and pounding his head into the concrete, and Obama says that Zimmerman should have retreated.
Obama also believes that the weather is getting worse and that warming has accelerated over the last decade.
These three children were among the 30 people murdered in Chicago so far this month.
