the melting had increased rapidly. By far the largest number of local glaciers in north-east Greenland had receded very greatly during recent decades, and it would not be exaggerating to say that these glaciers were nearing a catastrophe.

Texas Having Their Coldest July On Record
Texas July temperatures have been declining since 1895, and so far this month are the coldest on record.
In 2011, Aggie climate expert Andrew Dessler warned that Texas would be hot and dry for the rest of the century.
The weather of the 21st century will be very much like the hot and dry weather of 2011.
He also said that Texas was going to drown this century.
the vulnerability of Texas is more akin to that of the low-lying island states of the Pacific that are going to be inundated by sea-level rise over the coming century.

Islamic Converts Looking To Quickly Gain Status
RCMP thwarts alleged plot to bomb B.C. Legislature on Canada Day
One suspect is a musician with a history of methadone use, who converted to Islam a few years ago. The other is his lover, 10 years his junior.
Together, John Stewart Nuttall and Amanda Marie Korody of Surrey, B.C., near Vancouver, are accused of allegedly plotting to explode pressure-cooker bombs on the grounds of the B.C. Legislature in Victoria, while thousands were celebrating Canada Day.
“The suspects were committed to acts of violence and discussed a wide variety of targets and techniques,” Mr. Rideout said.
