Trees are considered “renewable energy” so greenies are destroying the environment, in order to save it.
Many millions of tonnes of wood pellets will soon be shipped annually to help keep the lights on in the UK. Other EU nations may follow.
Critics say subsidising wood burning wastes money, does nothing to tackle climate change in the short term, and is wrecking some of the finest forests in the US.
I have tracked the controversial trade from the swamp forests of North Carolina to the towering chimneys of the UK’s biggest power station, Drax in Yorkshire, which is converting half its boilers from coal to wood.
The implications are complicated and disputed, but it is clear that EU leaders did not have burning American wood in mind when they mandated that 20% of Europe’s energy should come from “renewable” sources.

What is clear is that EU leaders are a bunch of imbeciles.
Temperatures in the center of the Greenland Ice Sheet are colder than they were on January 5, and are averaging -34C this year.
The May 1896 tornado outbreak sequence was a series of violent and deadly tornado outbreaks that struck much of the Central and Southern United States from May 15 to May 28, 1896. It is considered one of the worst tornado outbreak sequences on record. There were four particularly notable tornado outbreaks during the two-week period. It produced three F5 tornadoes as well as the third deadliest tornado ever in United States history. A total of 484 people were killed during the entire outbreak sequence by at least 38 different tornadoes which struck Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kentucky and Michigan.

Climate experts have told us that recent cold and snow is due to global warming.
It follows then that if we were to reverse global warming, we should expect to see warmer temperatures and less snow.
However, if we fail to reverse global warming – we should expect to see even colder temperatures and more snow.
If global warming is left unbridled, we will most certainly all freeze to death.
Temperatures on the dark side of Venus are just as hot as the lit side, so it should be obvious to anyone capable of rational thought* that the “Greenhouse Effect” does not make Venus hot.
*This would apparently exclude James Hansen and Carl Sagan.
If Earth’s N2/O2 atmosphere was as thick as Venus atmosphere, Earth would be as hot as Venus.
