Last year, it was widely reported that 97% of the Greenland Ice Sheet melted in an astonishing heatwave.

The graph below shows the maximum daily temperatures in the center of the Greenland Ice Sheet over the last year. The tiny red bars are the astonishing heat wave which melted 97% of Greenland.

The reality is that the center of the Greenland Ice Sheet has accumulated a couple of metres of snow over the past year, and they are having trouble keeping the research station on top of it. For some reason, alarmists aren’t talking about this.

Alarmists now blame the heat and drought of the 1930s on bad US farming practices, which contributed to the Dust Bowl. The idea being that the bare soil in the Dust Bowl regions didn’t hold as much moisture as it would have otherwise, which led to lower humidity and thus higher temperatures.

Let’s test that theory out. The heat and drought covered almost the entire lower 48 states, and was centered on South Dakota and eastern Nebraska.

Sadly for team Climate Moron, the Dust Bowl only covered a tiny percentage of the drought area, and did not include South Dakota or eastern Nebraska.

The Dust Bowl farmers were victims of climate change, not the cause of it.

Recent heat waves that have triggered wildfires, droughts, and heat-related deaths in the United States and around the globe “almost certainly would not have occurred” without global warming—and will become more routine in coming years, NASA climate scientist James Hansen says.

The Hofstra University student killed during a home-invasion robbery was the victim of friendly fire from a veteran cop, Nassau County police revealed last night.

The officer unleashed a barrage of bullets when intruder Dalton Smith pointed a gun at him while using Andrea Rebello as a human shield, police said.

“He kept saying, ‘I’m going to kill her,’ then pointed the gun at the police officer,” Det. Lt. John Azzata said.

The cop fired eight times, with one bullet accidentally hitting Rebello, 21, in the head, he said.
