We all long for a white Christmas but should we ever expect one? BBC Gloucestershire’s weather warden Ian Thomas looks at where our cold winters have gone.
There is no doubt about it that these days our winters are so much milder than in times past.
When comparing this decade to the 1950s and 1960s, winter is now 1.7°C warmer on average.

Obama moves to ‘shame’ Congress into approving gun control package
Republican Sen. Mike Lee, of Utah, ripped the president for the remarks, suggesting he was exploiting the Newtown tragedy.
“The proposals the president is calling for Congress to pass would primarily serve to reduce the constitutionally protected rights of law-abiding citizens while having little or no effect on violent crime,” Lee said in a statement. “It is deeply unfortunate that he continues to use the tragedy at Newtown as a backdrop for pushing legislation that would have done nothing to prevent that horrible crime.”

According to bold and definitive expert forecasts, cherry blossoms are at their peak now.

Climate alarmists believe that punishing hard working Americans will make the climate better in China.
Similarly, lefties believe that disarming hard working Americans will make them safer from people like this.

Last year, climate experts told us that the weather in Chicago and DC proved that the planet had died of overheating.
I was shocked to learn that the rapidly melting Arctic (which has lost 80% of its ice) is -25C and ice area is normal.
I was listening to NPR last night, and Obama was very upset that his plan to use Sandy Hook as an excuse to destroy the Second Amendment wasn’t working as well as he had hoped.
He was saying that anyone who disagreed with his plans is basically an evil child killer, and he cited polls saying that 90% of Americans wanted to make their schools safer by preventing mass murderers from getting guns, falsely implying that they supported his Constitutional rights grab.
NPR casually mentioned at the end of their anti-Bill of Rights rant, that most of the states are planning to block any new Federal gun legislation.
