One month ago today, Joe Romm warned that the Mississippi River was soon to dry up.

Those dry conditions and poor snowpack have also raised the risk that water levels could drop on the Mississippi River later this year

Good Money Vs. Evil Money

George Soros makes his living off currency speculation. He bets that a national currency will collapse, and has enough money to make it happen. Over the past decade he has become more aggressive with this strategy, pouring money into people and organizations which will accelerate the collapse of a currency. Lefties consider this to be good money, because they receive it in huge quantities.

By contrast, fossil fuel companies keep our society functional, food on the table, and keep us warm. Lefties consider this to be evil.

Is This How An Ice Age Begins?

The last ice age began when winter snow accumulation in Canada started exceeding summer melt. Are we headed in that direction? Canada is covered with very thick snow this spring, which is going to take a long time to melt.

Marijuana Destroying The Climate

It requires 70 gallons of diesel fuel to produce one   indoor Cannabis plant, or 140 gallons with smaller, less-efficient gasoline generators.  In California, the top-producing state, indoor cultivation is responsible for about 3% of all   electricity use or 8% of household use, somewhat higher than estimates previously made   for British Columbia.  17 This corresponds to the electricity use of 1 million average   California homes, greenhouse-gas emissions equal to those from 1 million average cars,   and energy expenditures of $3 billion per year. Due to higher electricity prices and cleaner   fuels used to make electricity, California incurs 70% of national energy costs but   contributes only 20% of national CO2 emissions from indoor Cannabis cultivation.  From the perspective of individual consumers, a single Cannabis cigarette represents 2  pounds of CO2 emissions, an amount equal to running a 100-watt light bulb for 17 hours   assuming average U.S. electricity emissions (or 30 hours on California’s cleaner grid).   The emissions associated with one kilogram of processed Cannabis are equivalent to those   of driving across country 5 times in a 44-mpg car. One single production module doubles   the electricity use of an average U.S. home and triples that of an average California home.   The added electricity use is equivalent to running about 30 refrigerators. Producing one   kilogram of processed Cannabis results in 3,000 kilograms of CO2 emissions.

Wicked Hiking Conditions

I took the dogs out for a short hike (maybe a mile) in a major blizzard this morning in the foothills. The snow is about ten inches deep, and coming down hard with 20MPH wind and wind chill close to 0F. The only place the dogs could walk was behind me in my footsteps. I made the mistake of not wearing any face protection, and the snow felt like needles on my cheeks. Temperatures are much colder than they have been during other recent storms.

Met Office Is “very sure about the underlying science”

Typical English Garden after global warming

ScreenHunter_172 Mar. 13 05.24

‘The Met Office are saying that despite the recent concerns about the science, they are very sure about the underlying science. ‘They tell us there is a 50-50 chance we will get a 2C rise. If we pull our finger out we could prevent us moving beyond 2C but we have to act pretty soon‘.

A 2C rise could mean summers in the UK reaching 38C – a climate similar to southern France.

That kind of temperature rise would see the traditional summer deep borders full of herbaceous perennials such as lupins and delphiniums replaced with Mediterranean plans.

National Trust campaign highlights how gardens will look if global warming brings Mediterranean weather to Britain | Mail Online

Here is how the underlying science looks today.
