Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a “very senior person” at the White House warned him in an email that he would “regret doing this,” the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.

Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.

The Defense Department said in early February that it would not deploy the U.S.S. Harry Truman to the Persian Gulf, citing budget concerns relating to the looming cuts known as the sequester.

“Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying, ‘Oh, by the way, I can’t do this because of some budget document?'” Woodward said on MSNBC.

It is time to impeach him. He is completely out of control.

As Washington fights over $85 billion, the EU plans to spend steal from taxpayers three times that much for “climate.”

Cold weather continuing  and the risk of some snow  After the wet weather of the winter it is good news to find that high pressure is expected t dominate through March. This brings plenty of dry weather over all part of the country. It is likely to be cold at first with the winds from the east, and the likelihood is that the middle of the month may become colder, before we see a rise of temperature towards the end of March.

Temperatures appear to be in collapse from pole to pole, and Obama is threatening to cut school teachers. A much better choice would be to cut climate research funding – which has already stolen untold amounts of education, money and well being from our children.

After freezing a few thousand global warming protesters in DC, and then claiming that it was 35,000 – it looks like this year’s DC cherry blossoms will likely be behind schedule and possibly the latest on record.

It would seem approving Keystone XL would be a no-brainer. Thousands of middle-class jobs created, millions of barrels of oil from our North American ally and neighbor, and not a dime of taxpayer money spent. But for some reason, the president has still not found a way to say “yes” to this important middle class jobs and energy project. It has now been over four years, over 1,620 days, since TransCanada first applied to the State Department to build the Keystone XL pipeline and bring jobs and energy security to America. It is well past time to build the Keystone XL pipeline.

The world’s greatest climate scientists tell us that Arctic winter warmth is due to trapped heat from CO2, so the the persistent anomalous cold which the Arctic is now seeing can mean only one of two things.

1. CO2 levels are way down
2. Many climate scientists are idiots

The current dry spell is hardly one of the most severe in history. It is actually quite ordinary and cyclical.

Most our precipitation for the year comes between March and June, which hasn’t even started yet. In 1995, there was very little snowpack in Mid-April, and record snowpack in June. Same thing in 2011.

We are up to our necks in snow along the Front Range, which is where the fires occurred last year.  Many places on the western slope have plenty of snow too.
