Remember this guy, who was complaining that Republicans had ruined winter in Wisconsin?

Where, oh where, has our winter gone?

I blame Mother Nature and Republicans.

Think about it. Mother Nature has decided that she wants to warm up the earth and create global warming. Republicans think global warming is nonsense. So Mother Nature is not happy with Republicans.

TODAY, February 24, marks the second anniversary of Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s biggest public catastrophe – the announcement of her iniquitous carbon dioxide tax.

Every voter should take a long hard look at the photograph taken of Gillard and the gang that gave Australia the appalling tax before entering the polling booth on September 14, or whenever the federal election is actually held.

The culprits are lined up, the Greens Christine Milne and (then leader) Bob Brown, Independents Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott and half-hidden behind the hand-waving, gum-flapping leaderene, Labor Climate Change Minister

Greg Combet. Milne and Brown wear self-satisfied smirks on their faces, Windsor and Oakeshott look as if they have paid their debt for political relevance.

It was perhaps the single greatest act of political duplicity in the history of the nation.

I rode my bicycle to the store (15 minutes) and it was pleasant weather. I shopped for 10 minutes, and when I came out it was a blizzard. By the time I made it home there was an inch of snow on the ground. This must be about our sixth or seventh snow storm in the last three weeks.

In case you needed any more evidence that the climate science world is completely FOS, this story is unbelievable.

Another reason why NSIDC doesn’t talk about pre-1979 satellite data, is that during the winters of 1974-1976, Antarctic sea ice never froze over completely. A huge hole in Weddell Sea ice formed during the winter.

In the image below, I overlaid August 1976 ice on August, 2012 ice (white.) Note the large increase in winter sea ice which has occurred over the last 40 years.
