Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) on Friday said he plans to introduce legislation that would bring back the military draft and extend it to women for the first time.  Rangel, who has pushed for years to bring back the draft, said the Pentagon’s decision to allow women to serve in combat means that they too should register for the Selective Service.

CNN believes that there may be a connection between meteors and man-made  CO2.

A few years ago, Walt Meier lectured me that excess Antarctic ice isn’t important to the climate – because it occurs during the winter when the sun is low.

Well …. Antarctic ice has been above normal for the past five seasons – including the last two summers.

This summer, we have excess ice well to the north of 60S – which has a significant impact on Earth’s SW radiative budget.

Contrast this with the alarmist obsession over Arctic September sea ice north of 80N – which has almost no impact on Earth’s SW radiative budget.

Missing Arctic ice has caused disruptive weather patterns to set up, which have led to normal Arctic ice.

Last week CNN declared the Arctic to be ice-free. This week they are explaining how man-made CO2 affects the Van-Allen Belt.

The testimony of women assaulted in Tahrir Square in recent weeks is shocking.

One report documented by an NGO concerns a woman whose genitals were lacerated using a bladed weapon during another assault.

On the internet, you can even see mobile phone footage of women in the square during demonstrations suddenly being surrounded by dozens of men, and carried away as they are groped and assaulted.

“People who pretended to help were actually harassing me more,” says Shorouk al Attar, who was seriously assaulted with her sister close to the square during a protest last year.
