Bill McKibben must resist the temptation to use any fossil fuels this winter. Temperatures might be -20F at his house in Vermont, but burning anything that adds CO2 to the atmosphere is simply not acceptable.

The planet is overheating and we need inspirational leaders who are not hypocrites and liars. We can also safely assume that Harvard University is not using any heat, because they have divested themselves from fossil fuels. Global warming is keeping the students warm, and we wouldn’t want to send them the wrong message.

A couple of fires in Colorado were used to prove global warming last year, and were mentioned by the community disorganizer in chief on Monday.

I live two miles away from one of those fires. Fire is an essential part of the pine forest cycle. Colorado’s most prominent pine species (Lodgepole Pine) can’t exist without regular fires. People who build houses in the middle of pine forest can safely assume that they are eventually going to burn down.
