CAUSES OF CHANGE OF CLIMATE.

Is the North Pole going to melt entirely? Are the Arctic regions warming up, with prospect of a great climatic change in that part of the world? Science (says “Popular Science”) is asking these questions. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers who sail the seas around Spitzbergen and the eastern Arctic all point to a radical change in climatic conditions, with hitherto unheard-of high temperatures on that part of the earth’s surface.

For centuries it was believed that the Emperor had no clothing, but new research indicates that this was based on the testimony of one small child, who had no background in textiles or even retail clothing sales. He also had no formal education in clothing and had never published anything about fashion in a peer reviewed journal.

Furthermore, it has been discovered that more than 97% of the experts at the time agreed that the emperor had clothing. We can therefor safely conclude that the emperor was well clothed, and that the child was not competent to discuss his wardrobe.

Polar ice experts “thought that it would be many years until we again saw anything like we saw in 2007”, said Mark Serreze, director of the National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado.

Utter nonsense. Serreze predicted an ice-free North Pole in 2008, and a record minimum.

You know when climate change is biting hard when instead of a vast expanse of snow the North Pole is a vast expanse of water. This year, for the first time, Arctic scientists are preparing for that possibility.

“The set-up for this summer is disturbing,” says Mark Serreze, of the US National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC). A number of factors have this year led to most of the Arctic ice being thin and vulnerable as it enters its summer melting season.

All of these summers were hotter in the US than 2012, according to raw USHCN data.

In order to bring 2012 up near the top, they had to add almost two degrees on to the measured temperatures relative to 1901. The adjustments since the year 2000 have been very impressive, increasing the adjustments by almost a tenth of a degree every year.

Headlines this summer have announced 2012 as America’s hottest year on record, with particularly brutal heat waves striking the Northeast, and stunning temperature highs all but cooking Death Valley and other Southwest desert hotspots.

A kind and just nail bomber.

After the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion in 1970, in which Weatherman member Ted Gold, Ayers’ close friend Terry Robbins, and Ayers’ girlfriend, Diana Oughton were killed when a nail bomb being assembled in the house exploded, Ayers and several associates evaded pursuit by US law enforcement officials. Kathy Boudin and Cathy Wilkerson survived the blast.
