We all know sea levels are rising — since 1880, global sea levels have risen by about 8 inches, and the rate of rise is increasing every year — but what sort of effect can we expect these increases to have on our day-to-day lives?

Four years after my infamous battle with Walt Meier at The Register, I have found the evidence that I was correct all along. It was right under my nose.

In 2007, NSIDC published this map for week 29 (the current week)

This agrees very closely with the Cryosphere today map for 7/20/ 2007.

But it doesn’t agree at all with the official NSIDC extent map from July 2007

I flattened and overlaid the Fowler week 29 2007 map (red) on the current NSIDC map (green) and guess what – there is a lot more ice in 2012 than there was on the same date in 2007.

Something is wrong with the NSIDC database. They show more ice in 2007, and that is simply not correct. Their own map proves it.

Walt Meier was trying to get me to take the blame or pin the problem on CT, but it looks like NSIDC was at fault. There is a lot more ice in 2012 than there was on this date in 2007.

Here are two satellite images which confirm that the ice edge was several hundred miles further north in 2007

By contrast, Cryosphere Today shows almost 18% more ice in 2012 , than the same date in 2007. Yellow below shows ice which was present in both years. Green is 2012 only, and red is 2007 only.

The science is settled.

Julia was able to lie her way into office because of a drought. Top government experts declared the drought to be permanent, and told the public that only monetary sacrifice could make the drought go away.

The same group of scumbags are trying to pull the same trick in the US. As Franklin Roosevelt didn’t say “We have nothing to fear but our own government.“

Any of the Climate Clown Media sheep stop to think about this

The map below shows the Alaska imprinted on the US, in the area where the heat wave is worst, and then the July temps in North America  showing that the Alaskan cold is at least holding its own, and arguably outdueling the  US warmth.  This is much like the pattern in the  1950s..

The question is will the Media swallow and follow sheep ever wake up and do a lick of digging into this, or keep marching along  like drones to a drumbeat of mindless drivel.  How not one of the mainstream climate writers that buy into AGW don’t stop and look at the loads of information that should  make them question this shows  mindless blindness.

In the case of the polar bear, the federal government’s most comprehensive study on the state of polar bears determined that there will be no polar bears left in Alaska by 2050 — hardly the “distant future.” This prediction is based on climate models that, if anything, underestimate the rate of sea-ice decline.

We can see the shocking sea ice decline in this image, taken at Barrow on July 22, 2012. The climate models predicted that the ice would retreat only 40 yards, when in fact it has retreated 50 yards. Even the strongest bears can’t swim more than 49 yards.

In final acts of valor, Jon Blunk, Matt McQuinn and Alex Teves used their bodies to shield their girlfriends as accused madman James Holmes turned the Aurora cineplex into a shooting gallery.

Had Blunk been armed, he could have taken the scumbag out and walked away a hero.

Denver already has a law banning magazines larger than 20 rounds. This law accomplished nothing, so geniuses in Congress want to make it a national law. They also want to pass additional laws which will guarantee that during future massacres – the perpetrator will be confident that no one else is armed.

From July 19 to July 29, 1930, Laurel Maryland had eight days over 100 degrees, including 106 degrees on July 21.

Yesterday’s maximum temperature in Laurel was 69 degrees, the coldest July 21 on record (by six degrees) – and 37 degrees cooler than 1930.

Experts told us a few days ago that the weather in Maryland can only be explained by man-made global warming.

It has been a few weeks since Obama killed Osama for the second time, and his poll numbers are sagging. Perhaps a third killing is in order to bump the poll numbers back up?

Or maybe he should just stick with his barrage of attacks on successful Americans?

According to Hansen, the 1880s was tied for the coldest decade at -0.27 C anomaly. It was also the decade which the United States was hit by the most hurricanes – twenty-six including six major hurricanes. CO2 levels were below 300 ppm at the time.

Nobel Prize Winners like Al Gore tell us that higher temperatures and CO2 mean more and stronger hurricanes, because they are complete morons and have no idea what they are talking about.
