Let’s have a look at the Greenland Ice Sheet today. Ninety-five percent of the ice sheet is spectacularly white, except for one strip along the southwest coast. I fly over that section of Greenland on a regular basis, and the ice there is covered with very dark soot or dirt – which appears to have blown in from somewhere. The dirt absorbs sunlight and causes the melt, not the other way around.

As wildfires were eating away at Colorado and New Mexico last month, Katharine Hayhoe, a Christian geoscience professor at Texas Tech University, said in a column for Sojourners that “the answer is clear: God has given us the freedom and the ability to make choices. These choices have consequences.”
Hayhoe, who described friends praying fervently that their homes would be saved, recently co-authored a study published in Ecosphere that connected energy choices, such as coal-burning electricity, to climate change and ultimately an increased risk of wildfire in the western U.S.

Cold winter? No problem. Just make up some nonsense with a few technical words thrown in about Rossby waves and missing Arctic ice. Heat gone missing? Just say it sank to the bottom of the ocean undetected. Lack of hurricanes? No problem – just name lots of clouds and call it an extraordinarily active hurricane season. Want a record heatwave? Just ignore temperatures before 1960. Want a record tornado season? Ignore records before 1980.
These experts are completely full of shit and clearly don’t understand very much about how science is done. You know who I am talking about.
Cold rises in the southern hemisphere. It starts in Antarctica and rises to Australia. This is due to missing Arctic ice and Chinese aerosols – caused by primate made CO2.

Frank Lautenberg’s (D-N.J.) office is saying that he plans to reintroduce legislation that would curtail the ability of a shooter to fire at length without reloading.
“If reports are correct and a high-capacity gun magazine was used to commit these awful murders, Senator Lautenberg will absolutely renew his effort to limit the availability of this dangerous firearm attachment,” Lautenberg’s communications director Caley Gray told The Huffington Post.
Lautenberg, one of the most vocal gun control advocates in the Senate, introduced a bill to limit high-capacity magazines following the shooting of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The shooter in that instance fired his gun more than 30 times without having to reload. The bill went nowhere.
Early reports have suggested that the accused shooter in Aurora, James Holmes, also used a high-capacity magazine on his assault rifle. And that alone could breathe new political life into the New Jersey Democrat’s legislative hopes.
