The latest news is that Obama has accused Romney having some Latin American investors at Bain Capital.

This is the same Obama who is attempting to bring in millions of Latin American voters.

Our official US government data tamperers cool the past, and warm the present – based on the idea that observers used to read the thermometers in the afternoon, and now they read them in the morning.

If that were true, we would see a decline in raw minimum temperatures, but we see the opposite.

In other words, the official data tamperers are wrong at both ends. Their upwards adjustments are much too large, and their downwards adjustments are much to small.

According to USHCN raw daily data, afternoon temperatures in the US have declined more than one degree since 1930.

During that same period, US minimum temperatures have increased about a quarter of a degree

The next graph shows that the difference between maximum and minimum temperatures has dropped precipitously.

Strongly elevated nighttime temperatures are the primary symptom of the Urban Heat Island effect, which appears in cities and towns of all sizes.

USHCN makes a token political adjustment of 0.1 degrees for UHI, but the actual effect is more like fifteen times larger.

1. There will be an increase in the amount of five year old ice this autumn. NSIDC won’t be able to use that propaganda talking point any more.
2. The sea ice extent trend line will flatten some over the next two weeks.

Our friends get hysterical when they see runoff or icebergs calving from Greenland.

I’m curious what they think is supposed to happen? More than 400 billion cubic meters of snow falls on the Greenland Ice Sheet every year. That snow has to go somewhere, or it would eventually pile up to the top of the troposphere.

Obviously that isn’t what happens. The snow turns to ice and finds its way to the sea, where it melts. More than 400 billion cubic meters of snow returns to the sea every year in Greenland.

For our scientifically and mathematically challenged friends on the left, this is called the law of Conservation Of Mass. So I respectfully ask them to stop peeing in their pants every time they see physical law behaving normally.

The new definition of “ice-free” is about the size of Texas and California combined – one million km²

In other words, they are admitting that an ice-free Arctic isn’t going to happen.
