97% of experts agreed that the Emperor was wearing fine new clothing, until a small child cried out that the Emperor was naked.

The child’s claims achieved wide acceptance (among the clothing denier community) for several centuries. However, it is recently come to our attention that the child’s observations  were not peer reviewed, and that the denier child had in fact never published in any respected journal.

It is clear that the child’s claims were incorrect, and that the consensus of experts believed that the Emperor was indeed wearing fine clothing.

It is our opinion that only well established experts should be allowed to speak, and that we need to silence clothing deniers to prevent this type of error from occurring again in the future.

Mexico has some of the toughest gun-control laws in the world, yet the country’s drug cartels are armed to the teeth with illegal weapons that are smuggled over the border from the United States.

 On Thursday, Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano visit Mexico to discuss ways to stop the smuggling of American weapons, which Mexico says account for 90% of confiscated arms here. The meeting is part of an urgent American effort to aid Mexico as it fights a bloody war against drug cartels.

More than 6,300 people have died in drug-related violence since 2006, and some crime has spilled into the USA.

In 2009, Attorney General Holder said Obama plans to ban semi-automatic guns, based on the fact that Mexican Drug cartels possessed weapons – like the ones the White House was giving them.

Holder Revives Talk Of An Assault Weapons Ban

Attorney General Eric Holder was busy announcing the capture of more than 50 alleged members of the notorious Sinaloa Cartel yesterday when he unwittingly stepped into a larger debate about gun control.

Responding to a reporter’s question on weapons’ regulations, Holder said, “Well, as President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons. I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum.”

Holder refused to speculate when legislation would move forward. “There are obviously a number of things that are — that have been taking up a substantial amount of [Obama’s] time, and so, I’m not sure exactly what the sequencing will be,” he said.

The Obama administration was busy giving weapons to Mexican drug gangs, to make a ban possible in the US. Meanwhile, Obama and Holder’s mafia buddies in Mexico were killing American government agents with the weapons which the White House gave them.

Rapid sea level rise blamed on global warming threatens to put East Coast underwater

WASHINGTON (AP) — From Cape Hatteras, N.C., to just north of Boston, sea levels are rising much faster than they are around the globe, putting one of the world’s most expensive coasts in danger of flooding, government researchers report.

U.S. Geological Survey scientists call the 600-mile swath a “hot spot” for climbing sea levels caused by global warming. Along the region, the Atlantic Ocean is rising at an annual rate three to four times faster than the global average since 1990, according to the study published Sunday in the journal Nature Climate Change.

It’s not just a faster rate, but at a faster pace, like a car on a highway “jamming on the accelerator,” said the study’s lead author, Asbury Sallenger Jr., an oceanographer at the agency. He looked at sea levels starting in 1950, and noticed a change beginning in 1990

Only a complete imbecile would believe that a 4X difference in a local sea level rise rate could be caused by “global warming”  If the rise was due to glaciers melting, it would be approximately the same everywhere. If it was due to local heating, then it is not a global effect.

But the stupidity is worse than it seems. Satellites show sea level rise in that region far below the global average.

The reason that these geniuses see a relatively steep slope in the tide gauges, is because the land is sinking and has been since the end of the last ice age. The graph below plots tide gauge measurements in lower Manhattan since before the Civil War. The rate hasn’t changed and it has nothing to do with global warming and very little to do with sea level.

August 1913 was likely the hottest month in Oklahoma history, but NCDC has made the inconvenient month disappear – through massive abuse of the temperature record.

OKLAHOMA Climate Summary

They did this by warming the present, and massively cooling the past. The graph below shows the difference between their reported maximum temperatures and the actual temperatures measured by the thermometers. All years before  1998 are progressively cooled, and they knocked an impressive 3.6 degrees off of 1913. They also added 0.2 degrees on to 2011.

Oklahoma City had 22 days over 110F in August, 1913.

Had they not tampered with the data, quite a few years prior to 1960 would have been hotter than 2011, and that just wouldn’t have suited the management at the Ministry Of Truth.

The summer of 1913 saw heat in the US unlike any other summer. Hansen and his team of climate deniers have claimed that July 2011 was the hottest month in Oklahoma history, but it wasn’t even close in Oklahoma City.

Meeker is the closest USHCN station to Oklahoma City. Daytime temperatures were much higher in both 1913 and 1936, and mean temperatures were higher in both 1913 and 1936.

August 1913 had five consecutive days over 110 and a total of 22 days over 110. August 1936 had six consecutive days over 110.  By comparison, July, 2011 had zero days over 110 degrees.  1913 and 1936 were both much hotter than 2011.

1913 was also the year that California set the hottest temperature ever measured this side of the Atlantic – 134F. High temperatures averaged 129F during the second week in July, 1913.

According to Hansen, every year since 2000 has been hotter in the US than 1913, and he claims that 2011 style heatwaves were impossible below 350 PPM. Clearly he has no clue  what he is talking about.
