Scientists started manipulating temperatures upwards after 1960, and then they were surprised to find that their manipulated data diverged from tree rings. What is the average IQ of this lot?

The divergence problem is a physical phenomenon – tree growth has slowed or declined in the last few decades, mostly in high northern latitudes. The divergence problem is unprecedented, unique to the last few decades, indicating its cause may be anthropogenic. The cause is likely to be a combination of local and global factors such as warming-induced drought and global dimming. Tree-ring proxy reconstructions are reliable before 1960, tracking closely with the instrumental record and other independent proxies.
The cause is more likely to be a fanatical devotion to one of the most irrational and perverse religions ever invented.
Watch out Europe – Beckham and Keane are in LA. Henri is in New York. What is this world coming to?
Snow is a thing of the past. Himalayan glaciers gone by 2035. Manhattan soon to be drowned. Tree rings quit working in 1960. Arctic ice-free by 2008. It is all good science and only an anti-science idiot would disagree.
National Science Foundation (NSF) inspector general: “Finding no research misconduct or other matter raised by the various regulations and laws discussed above, this case is closed.”
Two things we know with extremely high confidence:
Recent warming is unprecedented in magnitude, speed, and cause (so the temperature history looks like a hockey stick).
Michael Mann, the lead author on the original hockey stick paper, is one of the nation’s top climatologists and a source of first-rate analysis.

Poll Results In One Jon Huntsman Supporter In Iowa
Between May 27-30, Public Policy Polling (D) surveyed 481 Republican voters in Iowa, and only one respondent said Huntsman’s his guy. Just one.
PPP’s Tom Jensen posted details on the one Iowan he could find who thinks Hunstman would make a good nominee.
He’s a self-described “somewhat conservative” and says he’s not a tea partier. He’s middle aged and “lives in the northeastern part of the state.”
He “doesn’t approve or disapprove” of Obama’s job performance and he voted for the president in 2008.
