The Most Pathetic Excuse Ever

An honest adult would say – “my theory was wrong.” A lesser person would say, “my theory was right, but Chinese aerosols mask the truth.”  Pathetic beyond words.

NRDC : Sea Level Rising 11mm Per Year In LA!

When saving the planet, you just have to make up all kinds of facts.

A new report says that by the mid point of this decade sea level will be a foot and a half higher. That, in our view, could be devastating to the way-too-close-to-the-beach development in Malibu and to other parts of the L.A. County coastline, like Marina Del Rey and the low-lying community of Venice. (Think of those winter-storm days with high tides, big waves and another foot or so of water level).

But that’s not the half of it. The Natural Resources Defense Council this week made some scary projections about the effects of global warming in L.A. in the coming years:

Sea level in LA hasn’t risen for about 30 years. Amazing that LA Weekly reporters will swallow whatever lies they are fed by green groups.

A study has found fires in the Arctic are on the rise, which could accelerate global warming.

Research published in the journal Nature shows that as global temperatures rise, the Arctic will not be spared, and fires like these may become more common and more severe.

This organic-rich landscape is highly flammable but also has the capacity to store large amounts of carbon.

The study reveals how a single fire can rapidly change the carbon balance of the region and instead of storing emissions, it can emit large amounts into the atmosphere.

Fires in the Arctic region are rare events, but in 2007 a wildfire destroyed about 1,000 square kilometres on the Arctic North Slopes in Alaska.

Devoted Greenies

Which group was this?

members believed that the planet Earth was about to be recycled (wiped clean, renewed, refurbished and rejuvenated)

Group members gave up their material possessions and lived a highly ascetic life devoid of many indulgences. The group was tightly knit and everything was shared communally. Seven of the male members of the group voluntarily underwent castration in Mexico as an extreme means of maintaining the ascetic lifestyle.

“Tropical Storms will typically bring 20 to 30 percent of our area’s yearly rainfall.”

Tim LaRow, Research Scientist at COAPS says, “A few years ago there was a tremendous drought in north Georgia, Lake Lanier was very very low, and it took a tropical storm to dump several inches of rain to bring the lake levels back up.”

Tropical Storms will typically bring 20 to 30 percent of our area’s yearly rainfall.

Chile Hit By Heatindexwave

Chile hit by ‘white earthquake’ of heavy snow

A “white earthquake” of heavy snow has blanketed parts of Chile leading the government to declare a “disaster area” in eight municipalities where around 16,000 people were left isolated.

Temperatures plunged to as low as -23 C (-9.4F) in some rural areas as severe snowfall wreaked havoc, leaving people without food supplies, mobile phone signals or radio communications.

Miguel Mellado, governor of the province of Cautin, said that in four days from Sunday to Wednesday the area had seen “four months worth of snowfall.”

In the town of Lonquimay, around 350 miles south of the capital Santiago, more than 6,500 people were trapped in their homes after snow piled up to 2.3 metres (7ft 6ins), while in surrounding rural areas it was reported to have reached 9ft.
