GISS extrapolated that the entire region north of 80N was more than 2C above the 1958-2002 average in May, despite the fact that they have essentially no data there.

DMI actually has data north of 80N, and they showed May as below the 1958-2002 average.

GISS fabricates big numbers in the Arctic, which has the effect of disproportionately dragging the global temperature upwards. Even so, they still can’t get temperatures up to scenario C.

As recently as this week, experts have been warning of the demise of Lake Powell. They have warned that mountain snows are melting earlier. They have warned of declining spring/summer snowpack. They have warned of declining winter snowfall and the demise of ski areas.

Yet the actual data negates everything they say. They have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

Hansen has been running around talking about catastrophic warming, hottest year ever, multi-metre sea level rise, death trains, extinction, end of the world as we know it…….etc.

Yet, but his own measures temperatures are below scenario C – which he considers safe. How can the climate be both catastrophic and safe at the same time?

GISS May temperatures took a big drop, and are far below Hansen’s scenario C.

scenario C assumes a rapid curtailment of trace gas emissions such that the net climate forcing ceases to increase after the year 2000.

Joe Romm says that CO2 emissions are increasing super-exponentially.

Hansen blames you for his lousy predictions. You are generating too many aerosols and screwing his models up.

Professor Slingo, who is in charge of Britain’s biggest research team investigating climate change, insisted that global warming was a reality despite the bitterly cold temperatures and heavy snowfalls that have brought much of the country to a standstill.

“This is not a global event; it is very much confined to the UK and Western Europe and if you look over at Greenland, for example, you see that it’s exceptionally warm there,” she said.
