Several years out of date?
HadCrut shows 1998 as the warmest year. It has been the warmest year for the last 12 years. How is that out of date?
boils down to the way each handles missing weather data in the historical record.
If you don’t have data in the Arctic, then you don’t have data. Pretending that you do is just making stuff up. The GISS numbers are skewed by their large imaginary anomalies in the Arctic.
The map above shows in blue, areas of the country which had their hottest year below Hansen’s safe level of 350 ppm. Areas in red had their hottest year above 350 ppm. 79% of the country had their hottest year when CO2 levels were considered safe from global warming.

Note that red areas have been upwards adjusted by USHCN and may actually belong as blue. The blink comparators below show how temperatures have been adjusted.
Prior to adjustments, most of the country’s thermometers showed cooling or neutral daytime temperatures (blue.) But USHCN fixed that through the magic of computer wizardry, and now most of the country is warming up.
How cool is that?

WASHINGTON—An article appearing in the Los Angeles Times, and then picked up by media outlets far and wide, misrepresents the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and a climate science project the AGU is about to relaunch. The project, called Climate Q&A Service, aims simply to provide accurate scientific answers to questions from journalists about climate science.
“In contrast to what has been reported in the LA Times and elsewhere, there is no campaign by AGU against climate skeptics or congressional conservatives,” says Christine McEntee, Executive Director and CEO of the American Geophysical Union. “AGU will continue to provide accurate scientific information on Earth and space topics to inform the general public and to support sound public policy development.”
Joe Romm, a former Clinton administration official who now runs the popular blog Climate Progress, said any effort to address climate change in Congress will run into opposition from a number of powerful industry interests.
“The disinformation campaign is incredibly well funded,” he said. “There’s a staggering amount of money in it.
That kind of pisses me off. All that big oil money funding this conspiracy and I am not getting my share. Does big oil have an online application?
