Yesterday afternoon’s peak temperature of 37 degrees in Boulder was the third time in the past four years with April 29 temperatures below 40 degrees.

Average temperature for the date is 65 degrees. Three of the seven coldest April 29ths have been in the last four years.

The deadliest Atlantic hurricane occurred on October 14, 1780. It had 200+ MPH winds, stripped the bark off trees, and left no houses standing.

I spent much of my life designing computers, and never once saw them predict anything. Climate predictions are made by humans seeking political objectives and/or funding. Blaming computers for the bad behavior of humans, doesn’t seem appropriate.

On this date in 1910, it was 103 degrees in Nebraska, 100 degrees in South Dakota, 96 degrees in Iowa, and 95 degrees in Iowa.

By contrast, tomorrow will mark the third April 29 in the past four years to be near record cold here in Boulder.
