NOAA got everything exactly backwards with their winter forecast.
They can’t forecast three months out, but are 97% certain about their forecast for 100 years from now. Because, settled science.

The actual data shows the exact opposite.
During the 1930s, the average hottest daily temperature across the US was well over 100 degrees, but has dropped about five degrees over the past ninety years.
The percent of days above 100 degrees has also dropped sharply, with the ten hottest years being 1936, 1934, 1954, 1930, 1980, 1913*, 1925, 1918, 1901 and 1931.
*The world’s hottest temperature of 134F was also recorded in California during 1913.
The percent of USHCN stations to reach 95F (35C) has dropped off sharply over the past ninety years.

The New York City Heat Island warms temperatures by as much as 8C (15F) relative to surrounding areas.
NOAA corrects corrupts the data by cooling the past, which is the exact opposite of what the correct adjustment would be. The appropriate adjustment for an expanding urban heat island would be to cool recent years.
One of New York’s worst heatwaves occurred in 1896.
That was also the year of Australia’s worst heatwave.
It was also hot in Europe that summer.

Children of Cambodia’s Killing Fields
the Khmer Rouge …. encouraged children to find fault with their own parents and spy on them. They openly showed their intention to destroy the family structure that once held love, faith, comfort, happiness, and companionship. They took young children from their homes to live in a commune so that they could indoctrinate them.

Wet is dry. Cold is hot.
Almost none of the US was experiencing drought in February.
And the remaining dry areas have been very wet over the past 30 days.
Compare vs. 1935 and 1964.
The US just had the wettest twelve months on record.

Record weather events peaked in the US in the 1930s, and then there was another peak around the time when Hansen gave his 1988 testimony to Congress, but there has been no long-term trend.

Record cold had several peaks, most recently the 1980s and 1990s.
Rainfall records have increased, with the peak year being 1982.
Snowfall records don’t show much of a trend, with the peak year being 1996.
