CANCUN, MEXICO—Global warming has hit Canada harder than most other parts of the world and 2010 is on track to be Canada’s warmest year, the UN weather agency said Thursday.

Here in “southern” Quebec, it has been wet and balmy (-8C to +8C) for the last week. Winter should arrive any day now and then the fun begins….
Anecdotally, I would say that our temps are about typical over the last 50 years or so.
Oh what hardship! This summer in Ontario was cooler than normal with no heat waves with temperatures 35 degrees C. If it was warmer than normal it was because our winter was relatively mild. That’s hitting us hard?

Just south of Calgary, we are running at .2C above the long term nomal. (mainly due to the El Nino this spring) since it petered out, we have been dropping like a rock. So maybe it was warmer somewhere else, but not in Alberta….
Steve are you seriously claiming that 2010 isn’t on track to be Canada’s warmest year based on predicted temperatures for a single week in December? Do you think that negates the actual data for the year to date?
Canada is on pace for its warmest year on record as of right now it is 0.10 C ahead of the nearest year. Steve, Stop with the BS.
