   A new record was set yesterday. My car thermometer read 55 degrees at 4 PM, while at the same time DCA (Reagan National Airport), the official station for Washington, DC read 62 degrees, an all time record of 7 degree difference! There was nothing in the real world to account for such a difference. It was sunny, relatively light wind, no difference in the air mass between my home and the airport.

   I recall saying 3 years ago that the temperature at National was very accurate because it was, duirng daytime, only at most a degree or two different from my car thermometer. Now it is a joke.
   Something is very rotten. They are determined to make every year at DCA the warmest on record, even though it has been actually cooling.
