Permanent Drought Update

Last week the experts told us the corn/wheat belt drought was going to get worse.

It appears that flooding is more likely than drought.

As Dr. Hayhoe would say, we are going right from extreme drought to extreme droughtflood.

It’s been droughting all day today, came down pretty heavy for a while.

Yeah, same here … we have been droughtflooding all winter. My pool is up some 12″ or more. At this rate, I won’t have to refill it this summer at all.

  3. Anthony Bremner says:

Piers Morgan tonight will discuss whether snowstorms are caused by global warming at 9pm Eastern on CNN. Maybe too annoying to watch since snow was supposed to be a thing of the past according to Gore. More adjusting of the facts to fit the agenda. I hope DC gets buried in snow tomorrow. NASA graphs are back online but with gaps in data. The 4 yrs of data that I complained to Reto Ruedy were missing are back on the city graphs.

I’m waiting on some knucklehead to blame the sinkhole in Florida on AGW. Surely the victim has been counted as a global warming fatality on some alarmist’s death (wish) list by now.

Japan is having a severe drought, caused by global warming…

One Washington lawmaker is making twisted argument in support of the new fee. Rep. Ed Orcutt wrote in an email to a bike shop that the CO2 that bicyclists exhale while riding is just one of the reasons he supports the bike tax.

“Since CO2 is deemed a greenhouse gas and a pollutant, bicyclists are actually polluting when they ride,” Orcutt wrote. Therefore, they should pay taxes to help the environment as well as the roads.

  7. Do I recall a certain “Drebski”, aka “Cool Whip Kid” warning us we were all going to die last month, because UAH temps had gone up?

Has he been back to tell us UAH temps have gone down even more in Feb?

Completely off topic so please forgive me. I just had to laiugh.

“A United Nations-based drug agency urged the United States government on Tuesday to challenge the legalization of marijuana for recreational use in Colorado and Washington, saying the state laws violate international drug treaties.”

Permanent Scientific Drought in North America…

“New national science standards that make the teaching of global warming part of the public school curriculum are slated to be released this month, potentially ending an era in which climate skepticism has been allowed to seep into the nation’s classrooms.

They recommend that educators teach the evidence for man-made climate change starting as early as elementary school and incorporate it into all science classes, ranging from earth science to chemistry. By eighth grade, students should understand that “human activities, such as the release of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels, are major factors in the current rise in Earth’s mean surface temperature (global warming),” the standards say.”
