How much ice do you want them to show, and how big is the grant?
I want to demonstrate that there was far too much ice 10,000 years ago to have reached the Holocene Maximum, but I need the maps.

Ice Age Now comes to mind. Not sure if they have something that you’re looking for but it is the source that I looked for before and after last Ice Age for sea level of what Earth looked like.

It is around that time period that monsoon rains turned the Sahara from desert into grasslands. So beyond reduced ice, there was some major changes in weather patterns; which were beneficial to mankind.

Do we know if the sea ice was permanent or did parts of it melt in summer. Sea level was 120m lowe than today so pressure at sea level must have been higher .
What I am looking for is ice sheet maps from 5,000 to 15,000 years ago. This has nothing to do with sea ice.

Try this. http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/paleo/peltice.pl It is an Ice Coverage Reconstruction at 1Kyr Intervals interactive map database. The maps are rather crude though, but you can input different periods together and compare ice coverage.
