I captured this Envisat map on May 16, 2011 – before adjustments and tampering. It shows almost identical areas of rising sea level and falling sea level.
The next map flattens out regions of rising and falling sea level as either red or blue. The area of red and blue on the map is very similar, indicating that the area of the ocean where sea level is falling is similar to the area where sea level is rising.
which, of course, is impossible
Envisat, poor thing, was a hoot….when it showed sea levels falling, they didn’t believe it, so they adjusted it up…..then it showed sea levels falling again!! Then they tuned it to other sats….and they started showing sea levels falling!!
Envisat’s working papers are still online….and it’s hysterical!! They did everything in their power to try and make it show sea levels rising!

The old record, which dated from 1975, stood at 9.7 degrees.
